Description I do quite a bit of painting for nda work and sketchy pencil drawings on my own time, so most of what you guys see is the sketchy pencil drawings

So here's some painted Ghost of a Tale fanart. Silas is my favorite. Silas is the best. No one can convince me otherwise.

No? I'm curious, what don't you like about the game?

I'm not entirely sure, but I think it had to do with the ending and the silent protagonist. The ending (and now that I think of it a lot of the game as well) felt like it should have been scary, but the protagonist (I forgot all of the character's names...) showed little to no emotion in any response to anything that happened.
Comparing them to Link from the Legend of Zelda, even Link shows emotional responses in cutscenes or even in just his screams when falling, his yells when attacking or his gasps.

According to my memories of the game, in Ghost of a Tale, the protagonist is totally silent the entire game. Which is actually totally okay for most of the game with the entire game pretty much being about sneaking around and the general mood, for the most part, felt rather neutral so little to no emotion was fitting. But at the end, after everything goes rather nuts, the protagonist still barely seems to react to the news about his wife. Which for me, took the main character from being a silent protagonist to a robot just going out to do what it was programed.

I think everything else was okay or at least excusable except that part. To say that his decision to go at the end felt sudden is an understatement...

Everything else I remember was great, but just that one moment... it was like enjoying a dessert, but finding a rock in the center...

My memory could be serving me wrong, but yeah.

As for all the characters besides Silas, they seem to be mostly only memorable due to their relation to the main character as foils to him in one way or another. But there at the end when my connection to the character I was playing got severed the interest I had to most every other character faded as well... which left most of the game feeling forgettable to me sadly.

Except for all the graphics, animation and Silas, but even then I forgot his name...

Heh maybe that's what I've been tasked with for the past year and a half or so at work
I hope I can post more painted stuff as a normal thing
