(The title is intentional) So I linked some free art programs around and I realized I never properly tried them, I had them all installed already but I always use Paint Tool SAI because I'm so used to it so they just sat there.First Sans: krita.org/
The fill tool SUCKS, I rely on the fill tool to do a lot of the work for me and I was lost a lot with this program.. it does have some really nice brushes though, I plan on using this for fancying up anything in future comics/pictures if I need it.

It's not even worth trying to make sprite art in Gimp, it's just so... EUGH
I've used Gimp to animate for me, but that's the extent of its use to me, it's just too painful to draw in (the fill tool was better than Krita though, and it has a nice assortment of brushes too)

My second favourite AU next to Underfell- I mean! Medibang has become one of my favourites out of these three, I don't know the extent of its capabilities, but it was much more user friendly (Finding things/options was much easier) than the above two and seems like something I might try to draw more actively in.

omfg, thanks for the reviews on the programs! i use sai, but i've always wondered about the others... i've watched livestreams where people use krita or gimp and they just look so strange to use... ugh.

Yes! It's the first Underfell I've drawn (on DA...) and I plan on drawing more too, especially UF!Papyrus, who I relate to a lot (for some reason).
I mean I really want to draw a Underfell comic of my take on the AU, it's just hard to get motivated some days.
Hey you're welcome! Always glad to help out, and I agree, they are strange, I prefer SAI's bright appearance compared to Krita's and Medibangs dark grey tone :S. I'll have to see if they have any themes I can change to.

oh my gosh, that would be sooo amazing. i see a lot of UF art, but comics are harder to come by, i think.
oh really? i don't think i would be able to get used to that easily. i like the light-colored themes for working on art too. in my opinion, it kinda makes it seem like everything is easier to see, haha.
