Description
It's me at the throttle of Reading & Northern 425 again. This time, however, the date is Sunday, October 11th, 2015, and, instead of Nesquehoning, I'm in Port Clinton, PA, home of the headquarters of the Reading, Blue Mountain, & Northern Railroad, the Port Clinton Hotel & Restaurant, and the Port Clinton Peanut Shop. If you haven't been to the Keystone State of Pennsylvania, I highly suggest a trip to the Anthracite Coal Region. Enjoy.Related content

Yeah, but I never get to run it. *pouts; mutters* Stupid Federal Railroad Administration changing the rules of railroading after 9/11.

Well... A train can be a 100 ton projectile... Just saying.

Try well over a hundred tons.

Yes. Took a rough "average" guess. Some trains are significantly heavier. Some coal trains I have seen carry well over 100 tons. Had to "average" in short trains though.

That's cool! It really makes me wonder how loud it is in the cab.

Not as loud as you think, Carlos. Especially when you're at a dead stop. The only thing you'll hear is the whir of the dynamo, the clicking of the air pump, the occasional "POP" of the safety valve, and the whistle--particularly when you're inside the cab.
