The shop forces at the Reading, Blue Mountain, and Northern Railroad are aiming to have this former champion of the Reading Company back in service by next August.Β If Fire Up 611! could do it with N&W 611, so can the RBMN guys!ΒRelated content

They've been saying that for quite a while now, who knows when it will be back in service, of course for a steam locomotive it's not surprising given all the problems that can arise over time.

That'd be cool, but I'm planning something even better: Two Reading T-1s on a coal drag and N&W 611 on a passenger extra! Trying to get my boss from Double Tree on board with the project. The mayor of Reading says he'll consider getting on board with the project.

Minor update: Since I no longer work at the DoubleTree, my grand design for having 2100, 2102, and 611 in the Reading area for excursions have been cancelled.Β Β

Yup! Just gotta get the Roanoke and Reading & Pottstown Chapters of the National Railroad Historical Society, Reading & Northern, Norfolk Southern, Virginia Museum of Transportation, Fire Up 611!, my boss, and the mayor of Reading, PA on board with this project. Hopefully, I can get Ross Rowland on board with this project, too.
