ive done one like this before, but i wanted to re-do it ...i think it looks better now..

I remember this shot from before and how well done I thought it was. Can't say I thought you needed to redo it but this is an interesting and very provokative revisiting of this subject. The layering is still quite nice and the capture of the sun itself is quite impressive (especially since you did not get a lens flare.) This alternate coloring is quite interesting and I have to say the darker sky has quite an impact on the overall feel of the piece. This one has a more surreal feel to it since the colors defy what is accepted as realty. Nice work. Might be cool to try showing the two versions of this piece side by side as a series.

It's a great perspective and it's nice to see the solid light coming through those trees - the rays are a very nice touch! It's too bad you got the chromatic disturbance (that blue), but there isn't much you can do with light like that
