A really nice shot, but you are right that it isn't particularly exciting.

How is it not deserving of a DD?
A DD is an admin feature with no, I repeat NO set criteria. It's not an award, nor is it for popularity. The admin chooses it because s/he likes it.
Why did they choose it? Because they like it.
Don't attack the artist, send the selector a note with your complaints. It's not the artist's fault that it was chosen it for DD.
