This is such a fabulously melodamatic shot, I makes no pretence at being 'real' which is great.

From the thumbnail (subscriber messages feature), I thought this was a natural sky. I almost half-expected this to be from terragen, but your choice to burn the sky was actually incredibly appropriate and had a wonderful effect on the image.
Good job. Keep up the good work.

I never tire of good mountain shots. I like the balance you placed between the amount of space the mountain and the sky take up in the photo and how the clouds add interest to the sky. The focus is perfect and I like the way the muted color really creates a surreal feeling to the image especially with the burned sky. The one thing I noticed when looking at the photograph is that there are places were you can tell the burning stopped because there isn't as gradual a decrease in the darkness of the sky and it kind of blurs down into the mountain. Clean that up a little and it will look like the sky really was that dark.

crazy...awesome.... though I think I'd have found a panoramic view a more flattering form of composition due to the subject matter.

slight editing with the burning or not, this is a great image... it's hard to imagine that this kinda place exists and the fact that i haven't seen it yet makes me yearn to... : sigh :
