Description One of the great things about going to the "cliffs of Hachinohe" in Japan is the fact that you never know what you're going to find. These flowers were all over the place. Gorgeous orange flowers on the cliffs. Clouds didn't cooperate as usual in the morning but the flowers stole the show anyway.

I've concluded that sunrises don't happen this far north. the sun just stays in the sky.

Anyone know what kind of flower this is?

I think lilies and tiger lilies are just the same thing, as far as I know

looks like a tiger lily but I'm no expert - love the fading cliffs on the horizon and the brownish colour scheme, the flowers are a great eye catcher

i think you're right on the flower. tons of them on the cliffs and i wanted to photograph every one of them. the other flowers were iris'
