He belongs to a group of beings known as the New Gods of Assembly – the same one that includes Atheus. His creator was affiliated with the city of Diss and Zigriel, but had been expelled long before Atheus’s creation for having some very messed up ideas of what the universe truly needed. Eventually, these ideas had manifested in the Demon himself.

The small imp-like creatures are both his offspring and servants. They collect data on the people from various random settlements across the fringes Assembly and deliver it to the Demon, so he can decide who should be punished and who should be rewarded. The exact rules are unknown to anybody except him, and for the most part seem to be completely arbitrary and random.

Every 100 000 years he does the judgement. Via arcane means, he duplicates his body on atomic level and moves into all chosen places simultaneously through the series of wormholes. Since all incarnations of him are technically the same being, all injuries done to one of them will instantly appear on all other – however, they would usually disappear seconds before being hurt.

Those deemed righteous would be given gifts, which Demon produces from his facial orifice and regurgitates into houses through the air vents, windows and other holes. They come in your standards colorful ribbons-taped cardboard boxes – except these boxes are covered in mucus and have placentas attached to them. Inside, they usually contain some completely useless trinkets and household accessories. The actual needs of the recipient are never taken into account.

Those deemed sinful would be snatched by the demon’s tentacles (normally retracted inside claws) and put into the bag, which leads to a specialized pocket dimension and seems to be a least somewhat sentient. Inside this bag, the sinners would be brought into the Demon’s domain and receive a corresponding punishment.

Said domain takes a form of a flat disc multiple kilometers wide, floating in space on the edge of Assembly. It has a structure similar to a traditional idea of Hell, with multiple rings providing different punishments and humiliations for the different kinds of sinners, and Demon himself residing in the very center. The domain is extremely cold and dark, with giant ice mountains and constant blizzards – and every time the Demon opens a wormhole, chilling frost would erupt from the portal to alert ones chosen that the judgment is about to start. Very few left that place alive.

The Demon has the ability to manifest blue glowing crystals to use in combat, particularly by fashioning them into various weapons. They look like ice, but actually made from a kind of exotic particles bonded together by the Demon’s power. When left alone, they not melt, but dissipate in sparkly dust instead.
