Description

With more time to spend her life how she wants it, Amy Rose has dedicated a big part of her life to studying. Right here she is working through books for her upcoming exams, leaving the guys to skate without her for a few weeks. Studying is something I should be doing as well, since the deadline is coming and I'm drawing characters studying instead of doing it myself D:

At last some stuff of Amy Rose, in her early 20s! After sketching for a while, I finally came up with a "redesign" I actually like to draw. She is a bit on the purple side, but that is only because I had no marker in her colour unfortunately, but expect her to be her own pinkish tone in further work. This design is based on her first official design and other fanart that I came across but can no longer link you to because I do not know where I saw what. All I can say that it is no direct copy of anything. Besides that, Amy Rose is an licensed character, so every redesign is still not original in the actual original sense, if you know what I mean. Also, to give her a more unique style, I changed her clothing colours to orange and the greenish-blue like her eyes.

Apart from this illustration, I want to add that Amy Rose is the link to my biggest pet peeve within the Sonic universe: the designs of the girls and women.. Let me start with the colours of the Sonic characters: Team Sonic (Sonic, Tails and Knuckles) more or less cover the primary colours of the colourwheel. Then team Chaotix (Vector, Espio and Charmy) take up the secondary colours of the wheel. A good variety, and the majority of the male characters get a good diversity in colours.

But then we get to the women. Pink and purple. That is it, with some white here and there, or "natural" brownish designs like an actual rabbit and a reddish raccoon. Even in the game Team Sonic Racing these limited design choices lead to Rouge and Amy Rose their cars looking almost the same when passing them on the road...

And then we get to the clothes... I don't like that all the girls are all dressed up, which got even worse in the IWD Sonic designs. In the Sonic universe I personally like the idea of clothes being optional. Some decide to dress up, some don't, or only at certain occasions. This should apply to the girls and the boys. The only thing that I do like about the "new" women in the IDW Sonic is that they kinda went with different colours. That is a huge plus!

But, while redesigning to make the women work without clothes I quickly came to a few conclusions:

- Rouge cannot go naked. Just... No, not without a major overhaul of her "shapes", and I do like how Rouge looks, so she will be one of the women who freely decides to dress up.

- Amy her bob-like quill-style is designed to fit her dress. Without the wide dress, her hair does very little for her silhouette and her shape becomes boring. That is why, to allow her to go "naked" like the guys, she needs a different haircut. I tried longer quills, some different styles, but it all made her look a bit dull. So, today this came up, and I loved it. It really fits her in this AU, and I finally found it fun to draw.

I hope this also explains the reason why I, until now, mostly drew the Sonic, Shadow and Silver: their designs are so much fun to do <3 But now I found a way for myself to also make Rouge and Amy fun to draw. Maybe more will follow, since I think Wave is also cool, and perhaps I one day find a way to make Blaze also fun to draw for me.

The Urban Flow AU: Urban Flow AUUrban Flow is a Sonic the Hedgehog AU, about a possible scenario if Eggman was to be wiped away from existence and when the characters would have to find their way in a "normal" world with smaller enemies, stricter laws and politics. Shortest version: Sonic and the 3 other Hedgehogs start a skateboarding group to partake in competitions. It takes place a few years after current Canon* lore, yet it is a AU with the freedom to take, adjust and use whatever Canon works for this world and which stories don't. The biggest adjustment is Silver, who no longer goes back to the future after the fight with Solaris. *Canon contains the lore from the games and perhaps certain other stories. This however excludes the general comics, since they are not canon, but it is not excluded that certain elements or characters might appear in Urban Flow., After yet another attempt by Eggman to bow a primordial demi-god to his will, it hopelessly blows up in his face. Literally, and with that Eggman was no more. Even though the heroes struggled through their final battle with this awakened creature, the threat from this demi-god was laid to rest. The world was saved. Again.. But with Eggman gone, the greatest evil mastermind, the world succumbed to a strange peace. Little villains popped up, but none of them had the capacity to take Eggman's place. And so, for those whose whole lives had revolved around battling Eggman's creations or summonings, the world became a boring place. Too boring...Story per character: Sonic the Hedgehog: After the death off Eggman, Sonic couldn't help to experience grief. Wounded in the battle with the doctor his last summoning, Sonic's sickbed provided much too time think. His whole life had been a careful balance with that Egghead. Sonic had become who he was because of the battles with Eggman. Defending others was his whole purpose, and his arch-enemy provided a regularly scheduled amount of attacks which had Sonic running and fighting like there was no tomorrow. Now, Sonic wondered what would come next. And he didn't want to ponder about the future, but this time there was no distraction. No fight. No running. And then there was the grief. For what was, and for the man who provided him the biggest challenges in his life. He already wished someone would take his place.But no one came who could take Eggman's place. His city, his world, became a much saver place, and Sonic hated it. Sure, he was glad others around him didn't get hurt, but the boredom drove him crazy. Running around was fun, but with no place to run too even that began to feel quite useless. The action, the fighting, even the bruises afterwards made him feel alive. As he result, Sonic began searching for those who needed his help. But with his bantering, he often provoked fights with people and even criminals who could have been calmed down with a decent conversation. In the meantime, his friends moved on. Tails worked more and more on his inventions, while Amy started to build up her live with working jobs and hanging out with friends who weren't constantly trying to get into conflicts. Knuckles as always did his own thing, even tried to focus on making music to compliment his job as a guardian. Even Sonic thought the Echidna was getting quite good. While the peace lasted, everything in the city got more political. No longer did Sonic get a pass for whatever he did just because he was a hero. Among the rulers, the question rises if Sonic could even still be called a "hero" with the turmoil he causes on the streets. Sonic his morals more then often clashed with the new established rules, and the Blue blur became a nuance in the rulers their eyes. They wanted the police and other controllable forces to handle criminals, not the loose canon that clearly couldn't adjust to "normal" life. And so they turned to GUN, with the demand to stop the Blue blur at any cost. If not captured, driven away or dead, then at least crippled. And so GUN sends their most lethal "knife" for the job: Shadow the Hedgehog.Faced with a very frustrated Shadow, Sonic quickly discovers this isn't another "friendly" battle. Both go all out, with devastating effects on their surroundings, until the battle ends as abruptly as it started. Both wounded, Shadow suddenly falls back into defensive mode. When Sonic realizes this, he stops as well. What have I become, Shadow mutters, after which he warns Sonic that they are coming for him as well. Remembering GUN their harsh approach to Sonic before, he quickly leaves the scene of the fight. Fleeing around, Sonic comes up with the idea to make the first move. Instead of fleeing further, he goes to the GUN headquarters to work things out. With this unexpected turn of events, those in command decide to accept the talk. It leads to a compromise, in which Sonic is allowed to remain free and unharmed if he in return that he leaves his "heroic" deeds behind. If there is time to play the hero, they would let him know.. With this final warning, Sonic is forced to find another way to spend his days. A new challenge. And suddenly one pops up on a weathered poster in the streets: a skating competition. What greater challenge for the fastest thing alive then to actually play by the rules of a sport? He always liked riding boards, so why not learn actual tricks for it, to compete? Once not being the fastest, but being the best nonetheless? Yet, he knows of another hedgehog who has trouble adjusting. It actually takes a few days before Sonic finds Shadow, hidden away in some abandoned buildings. Then some more days of pestering Shadow before the latter one accepts the invitation for skating, though with little enthusiasm. That however grew overtime, when the two found a new rivalry on the boards and could spend days practising together in the Skatepark. After Silver returned from his travels, he also liked joining them from time to time. Eventually Amy joined, and the four turned out to have a great time, especially when working up to the different competitions they try to participate in. Shadow the Hedgehog: During his time at GUN, most of Shadow his missions and tasks were centred around Eggman his doings. As a living weapon, he was the quickest to deal with robots and monster, and at the same time most at GUN didn't mind if he wouldn't make it back alive. After all, he was no more then an useful tool to them. They send him to aid Sonic and the group against the primordial demi-god, but after that battle things took a drastic turn. Since there was relative peace, the city could focus more on forces like the police, and there came stricter rules among how to treat criminals. GUN could still operate outside of those laws, but they had to keep their missions more covert. There were barely any villains left that demanded a tool like Shadow. More and more did they keep the black Hedgehog back at the base, and Shadow his frustrations rose with each day he felt more useless. When he demanded a task, it could take weeks before a mission came up. He started to feel like a prisoner. And with so little to do, Shadow went all in on the tasks that were assigned to him. In his "outbursts" during these missions he made more casualties then needed, hence resulting in even more downtime. The temptation of going rogue grew. But then again, Shadow did not forget Mephelis and Omega their words. He knew that, if he was seen as a danger, things could turn out quite ugly for him. And so his depression grew. Rouge, who also still worked for GUN and was kept active, tried to comfort Shadow. Through time the two had developed a close relationship, and even though her words and intimacy seemed to ease him, Rouge noticed he had become a shadow of who he was.Finally another mission came up. Shadow was called in, but when he heard what he was demanded to do the Hedgehog mentally snapped. His task was to take out Sonic, who kept "playing" a vigilantly hero and was seen as a loose canon. While Shadow there and then wanted to blow up the whole building, he decided to turn his frustrations toward Sonic. A final attempt to prove his worth.It doesn't take long before Shadow finds the Blue blur, aided by the constant surveillance on Sonic. Enraged Shadow goes all out, which leads to a short but intense fight during which the realisation rises that this isn't who he is. After merely catching a few of Sonic his punches and kicks, they both back down. After his warning to Sonic, Shadow retreats to GUN. In an attempt to resign, he learns that GUN only walk around freely because he was under his control. Shadow wasn't allowed to resign, for there was no contract to resign from. It turned out he was indeed just a weapon for them, kept on a leash. Yet Shadow threatens them that if they prevent him from leaving, he will rip the whole company down. While the fear of his possible "future" rises, Shadow leaves anyway.A few weeks pass. Nothing seems to happen. Shadow has retreated to the outskirts of the city, stuck with his own thoughts, away from others. Then Sonic arrives. It was almost like the Blue blur had very little else to do then search for him... Shadow thought Sonic his proposition to go skateboarding together was ridiculous. Yet he slowly grew to the idea of having another skill to beat Sonic with, and the flame of wanting to compete grew again. Even though the rules of the skateboarding scene annoyed him a bit (not being allowed to use powers), Shadow slowly enjoys the normal-ness, and noticed GUN wasn't bothering him anymore, even though he suspects that they do keep an eye on him. During skating, Shadow wears normal shoes. As for his inhibitor rings, their size started to bug him. He turns to Tails, who after some work figured out their mechanism and duplicate them as smaller bracelets, releasing Shadow of their bulky designs. Mentally, Shadow slowly returns to his former self, through which his relationship with Rouge also improves. Rouge the Bat: Rouge is Rouge, the spying thief for hire. And GUN remains pleased with her actions. Even after the death of Eggman, she is a useful agent to send to spying missions. The smaller missions don't mind her, as long as she is paid and gets her jewels. Yet, she knows how GUN talks behind her back. After all, it is her job to know, and she knows. Her act of seduction is interpreted as if she is "easy", and while she uses these rumours to her advantage, they do sting. The whispering got even more nasty when she did in fact get closer to Shadow. Shadow, who never treated her like an object, and is even her first. Eventually she wants to leave GUN, but doesn't know how she would keep up her lifestyle without a job like hers. It is not that being a private detective pays well, and she has grown passed the phase in her life that she was ready to steal for what she wanted. She liked being allowed in the open, no looks over your shoulder, no secretive services that are after you. No, playing clean did pay off, even if it was for a service she had grown to despise.Busy with her job, and often away for longer periods of time, it took a while before Rouge noticed Shadow more down then before. He never was the cheerful one of the both, but things has gotten worse. And he appeared to almost always be there when Rouge returned from her missions. She thought it was lucky that they happen shared their free time together, until she learned Shadow had little more then free time. She convinces GUN to let Shadow go. This is granted, in return that she informs them on a daily basis over his whereabouts and actions. However reluctant Rouge is about this, she agrees. Yet, for the first few weeks, she has a hard time locating him. On the plus side, there were no incidents that involved Shadow. At GUN they even joked about him being death after all, which got Rouge actually concerned. That concerns turns into annoyance when she finds him in a skatepark with Sonic and it was apparently to much effort to contact her. Then she sees how Shadow lightened up, and decides to leave it for what it is. After that, Rouge checks in on him whenever she can, keeping to herself that she is also the one who keeps tabs on him for GUN. Their connection improves, they even start to go out together on occasions, and Rouge tries to be there when the skating competitions take place. Her role in the group becomes more intense then she first planned it out, but Rouge actually enjoys spending her free time with the Hedgehogs. Amy Rose the Hedgehog: Being the more social one, Amy was actually glad when finally Eggman was stopped. Whatever the consequences would be, for the first time ever she and her friends could focus on their own little lives instead of constantly saving the world. When she is old enough, she starts working and enjoys working in lunch rooms. While she loses contact with former friends, except for Cream, Amy gets a bigger circle of friends in return. And despite the normal ups and downs life is great. Yet, her past crawls up with here. There are parts of her life that most of her friends don't understand, like the fighting and saving the world. So Amy tries to keep their conversations about lighter topics, but somewhere she feels incomplete. During the building of her new life, her obsession with Sonic had faded to the background. Yet she missed him. Was it him, or the adventures? Her past? Did she lose who she was? No, it was not that, she was still Amy, but a part of her was missing. Among all her friends and busy working days, a longing for the life that was connected to that Blue Hedgehog grew. Then, after years of radio silence, Silver shows up. He says he didn't know who else to turn to then Amy, since she was the most open of the group. The talk and share whatever happened to them in the past time, and finally Amy is able to be herself again. Through her words, Silver looks up Sonic and Shadow, and seems to easily get connected to those two again. A sting of jealousy hits Amy, after which her daily life becomes more and more of a burden. Not that she wanted to, but the get-togethers with the friends in her new life got less exciting now melancholy got a grip of her. Previously Amy had her fighting skills to keep up with the battles Sonic had with Eggman. Since the good doctor died, she had lost her connection with Sonic. When she saw how the three Hedgehogs became closer during the skating, Amy decided she couldn't be left behind, and got herself a skateboard. She had been racing before, but that was on enhanced boards that could fly. Now it was with wheels, and speed was barely important. Pushing herself, she learned a few first tricks, and was surprised with how much fun she was having. Persistent as the pink Hedgehog is, she introduced herself and her growing skills to the skating Hedgehogs, and was pleased with how easily they took her in. Later she discovered that at least Silver was happy to have some support for when rivalry between Sonic and Shadow got too overheated. Little did Silver know that Amy turned out to be just as competitive as the two other guys. Now she tries to balance her two lives: the one she build up with new friends she also holds dear, and her old life that turned into this skating frenzy with the guys. Silver the Hedgehog: Ever since the fight with Solaris, Silver has been stuck in the present. His future life no longer exists, since his timeline/life "bowed" back to beginning of the story of '06. To keep the timeloop in which Solaris has been defeated stable, Silver has to remain in the current time in the current dimension. Yet, his very existence that "looped" the timeline also looped Blaze her timeline and dimension backwards to parallel Silver's. This means that since the Soleanna story was been looped by defeating/blowing out Iblis his flame, and not erased, all of those who were present during the Solaris "void" have retained their memories of these events.After living in a future where survival was daily business, the calmer present confused Silver deeply. That got worse after the end of Eggman. The battles and "war" cam to an abrupt halt. Not accustomed to a life without stress, Silver did no longer know what to do. The world was beautiful, and he finally could socialise, but he was so estranged from the people around him that the connections where hard to make outside of those who he had learned to know from the Soleanne story. Nobody else even knew what happened anymore! On top of that, Blaze was gone, so his only friend who understood what living in a ruined world was like was out of reach. In an attempt to get used to the place he started travelling, alone. The sense of having to survive came back, and made him feel comfortable. In a few years, he travelled from place to place, learning what he could, helping whenever possible. He took a real liking into gardening and helping on farms. Slowly but surely he found his way, and learned to love the time he was in. Eventually he ended up back in the same city as the others. Amy told him the stories of what had happened in the time Silver travelled the world. It surprised Silver to hear that especially Sonic and Shadow couldn't get attuned to the new way, while Silver was the one from a whole different time. Those two are really more alike then they want to admit, Silver realised. While Silver keeps his job that he started at a farm near the city, he does participate in the skateboarding with Sonic and Shadow, resulting in the 3 becoming very close. Eventually Amy joins in, which makes them a solid team with each their own talents. Yet, he also misses Blaze. With the help of Tails a little "postal" hole between theirs and the Sol dimension is created, through which Silver and Blaze can write, or send voice memo's (since Silver cannot read, yet). Now and then a bigger portal is created, which allow the two to spend some sparse time together. It is the start of a slightly tragic romance between the hedgehog and the cat. Blaze the Cat: Blaze has become an anomaly in the Sol dimension. When she entered that dimension with Iblis locked inside her, the Sol dimension was reformed with the addition of the Sol Emeralds and Blaze. To keep this state of the dimension stable, both Blaze and the Sol Emeralds can only leave the dimension for very short amounts of time without it crumbling to nothing: the former state of the Sol dimension has vanished, and cannot be retained. Blaze has to live with both memories: the future ones in which she knew Silver, and the new one in the Sol dimension that always seemed to have existed like that.While Blaze tries to keep up with her new duty as princess and guardian of the Sol Emeralds, she is very relieved when a portal between hers and Silver's dimension is opened. Finally she has her friend back, and maybe even more then that. Tails the Fox:The older Tails got, the more he focussed on his inventions, which led to him being recognized as one of the most brilliant minds in the continent. He often get assignments from the city-council, and many others come to him for his problems. As a result, he barely has time to hang with his friends. The fox his hyperfocus is pretty intense. He often looses track of time or forgets to eat. This resulted in him staying a bit smaller the the rest, to his own disappointment. Yet Tails enjoys being taken in such high account, and happily helps whoever asks him, if he has the time. Knuckles the Echidna:When things became a lot calmer, Knuckles his guarding duties became a bit less exciting. From time to time Rouge passed by, and some culprits sometimes try to get their hands on the Emerald, but nothing that the Echidna couldn't handle with ease. So, to pass the time, Knuckles decides to start to make music. Part producer, part rapper, he makes his own tracks (although the computers are often not agreeing with him..!), and even has had some gigs already....

When Sonic realizes this, he stops as well. What have I become, Shadow mutters, after which he warns Sonic that they are coming for him as well. Remembering GUN their harsh approach to Sonic before, he quickly leaves the scene of the fight. Fleeing around, Sonic comes up with the idea to make the first move. Instead of fleeing further, he goes to the GUN headquarters to work things out. With this unexpected turn of events, those in command decide to accept the talk. It leads to a compromise, in which Sonic is allowed to remain free and unharmed if he in return that he leaves his "heroic" deeds behind. If there is time to play the hero, they would let him know.. With this final warning, Sonic is forced to find another way to spend his days. A new challenge. And suddenly one pops up on a weathered poster in the streets: a skating competition. What greater challenge for the fastest thing alive then to actually play by the rules of a sport? He always liked riding boards, so why not learn actual tricks for it, to compete? Once not being the fastest, but being the best nonetheless? Yet, he knows of another hedgehog who has trouble adjusting. It actually takes a few days before Sonic finds Shadow, hidden away in some abandoned buildings. Then some more days of pestering Shadow before the latter one accepts the invitation for skating, though with little enthusiasm. That however grew overtime, when the two found a new rivalry on the boards and could spend days practising together in the Skatepark. After Silver returned from his travels, he also liked joining them from time to time. Eventually Amy joined, and the four turned out to have a great time, especially when working up to the different competitions they try to participate in. Shadow the Hedgehog: During his time at GUN, most of Shadow his missions and tasks were centred around Eggman his doings. As a living weapon, he was the quickest to deal with robots and monster, and at the same time most at GUN didn't mind if he wouldn't make it back alive. After all, he was no more then an useful tool to them. They send him to aid Sonic and the group against the primordial demi-god, but after that battle things took a drastic turn. Since there was relative peace, the city could focus more on forces like the police, and there came stricter rules among how to treat criminals. GUN could still operate outside of those laws, but they had to keep their missions more covert. There were barely any villains left that demanded a tool like Shadow. More and more did they keep the black Hedgehog back at the base, and Shadow his frustrations rose with each day he felt more useless. When he demanded a task, it could take weeks before a mission came up. He started to feel like a prisoner. And with so little to do, Shadow went all in on the tasks that were assigned to him. In his "outbursts" during these missions he made more casualties then needed, hence resulting in even more downtime. The temptation of going rogue grew. But then again, Shadow did not forget Mephelis and Omega their words. He knew that, if he was seen as a danger, things could turn out quite ugly for him. And so his depression grew. Rouge, who also still worked for GUN and was kept active, tried to comfort Shadow. Through time the two had developed a close relationship, and even though her words and intimacy seemed to ease him, Rouge noticed he had become a shadow of who he was.Finally another mission came up. Shadow was called in, but when he heard what he was demanded to do the Hedgehog mentally snapped. His task was to take out Sonic, who kept "playing" a vigilantly hero and was seen as a loose canon. While Shadow there and then wanted to blow up the whole building, he decided to turn his frustrations toward Sonic. A final attempt to prove his worth.It doesn't take long before Shadow finds the Blue blur, aided by the constant surveillance on Sonic. Enraged Shadow goes all out, which leads to a short but intense fight during which the realisation rises that this isn't who he is. After merely catching a few of Sonic his punches and kicks, they both back down. After his warning to Sonic, Shadow retreats to GUN. In an attempt to resign, he learns that GUN only walk around freely because he was under his control. Shadow wasn't allowed to resign, for there was no contract to resign from. It turned out he was indeed just a weapon for them, kept on a leash. Yet Shadow threatens them that if they prevent him from leaving, he will rip the whole company down. While the fear of his possible "future" rises, Shadow leaves anyway.A few weeks pass. Nothing seems to happen. Shadow has retreated to the outskirts of the city, stuck with his own thoughts, away from others. Then Sonic arrives. It was almost like the Blue blur had very little else to do then search for him... Shadow thought Sonic his proposition to go skateboarding together was ridiculous. Yet he slowly grew to the idea of having another skill to beat Sonic with, and the flame of wanting to compete grew again. Even though the rules of the skateboarding scene annoyed him a bit (not being allowed to use powers), Shadow slowly enjoys the normal-ness, and noticed GUN wasn't bothering him anymore, even though he suspects that they do keep an eye on him. During skating, Shadow wears normal shoes. As for his inhibitor rings, their size started to bug him. He turns to Tails, who after some work figured out their mechanism and duplicate them as smaller bracelets, releasing Shadow of their bulky designs. Mentally, Shadow slowly returns to his former self, through which his relationship with Rouge also improves. Rouge the Bat: Rouge is Rouge, the spying thief for hire. And GUN remains pleased with her actions. Even after the death of Eggman, she is a useful agent to send to spying missions. The smaller missions don't mind her, as long as she is paid and gets her jewels. Yet, she knows how GUN talks behind her back. After all, it is her job to know, and she knows. Her act of seduction is interpreted as if she is "easy", and while she uses these rumours to her advantage, they do sting. The whispering got even more nasty when she did in fact get closer to Shadow. Shadow, who never treated her like an object, and is even her first. Eventually she wants to leave GUN, but doesn't know how she would keep up her lifestyle without a job like hers. It is not that being a private detective pays well, and she has grown passed the phase in her life that she was ready to steal for what she wanted. She liked being allowed in the open, no looks over your shoulder, no secretive services that are after you. No, playing clean did pay off, even if it was for a service she had grown to despise.Busy with her job, and often away for longer periods of time, it took a while before Rouge noticed Shadow more down then before. He never was the cheerful one of the both, but things has gotten worse. And he appeared to almost always be there when Rouge returned from her missions. She thought it was lucky that they happen shared their free time together, until she learned Shadow had little more then free time. She convinces GUN to let Shadow go. This is granted, in return that she informs them on a daily basis over his whereabouts and actions. However reluctant Rouge is about this, she agrees. Yet, for the first few weeks, she has a hard time locating him. On the plus side, there were no incidents that involved Shadow. At GUN they even joked about him being death after all, which got Rouge actually concerned. That concerns turns into annoyance when she finds him in a skatepark with Sonic and it was apparently to much effort to contact her. Then she sees how Shadow lightened up, and decides to leave it for what it is. After that, Rouge checks in on him whenever she can, keeping to herself that she is also the one who keeps tabs on him for GUN. Their connection improves, they even start to go out together on occasions, and Rouge tries to be there when the skating competitions take place. Her role in the group becomes more intense then she first planned it out, but Rouge actually enjoys spending her free time with the Hedgehogs. Amy Rose the Hedgehog: Being the more social one, Amy was actually glad when finally Eggman was stopped. Whatever the consequences would be, for the first time ever she and her friends could focus on their own little lives instead of constantly saving the world. When she is old enough, she starts working and enjoys working in lunch rooms. While she loses contact with former friends, except for Cream, Amy gets a bigger circle of friends in return. And despite the normal ups and downs life is great. Yet, her past crawls up with here. There are parts of her life that most of her friends don't understand, like the fighting and saving the world. So Amy tries to keep their conversations about lighter topics, but somewhere she feels incomplete. During the building of her new life, her obsession with Sonic had faded to the background. Yet she missed him. Was it him, or the adventures? Her past? Did she lose who she was? No, it was not that, she was still Amy, but a part of her was missing. Among all her friends and busy working days, a longing for the life that was connected to that Blue Hedgehog grew. Then, after years of radio silence, Silver shows up. He says he didn't know who else to turn to then Amy, since she was the most open of the group. The talk and share whatever happened to them in the past time, and finally Amy is able to be herself again. Through her words, Silver looks up Sonic and Shadow, and seems to easily get connected to those two again. A sting of jealousy hits Amy, after which her daily life becomes more and more of a burden. Not that she wanted to, but the get-togethers with the friends in her new life got less exciting now melancholy got a grip of her. Previously Amy had her fighting skills to keep up with the battles Sonic had with Eggman. Since the good doctor died, she had lost her connection with Sonic. When she saw how the three Hedgehogs became closer during the skating, Amy decided she couldn't be left behind, and got herself a skateboard. She had been racing before, but that was on enhanced boards that could fly. Now it was with wheels, and speed was barely important. Pushing herself, she learned a few first tricks, and was surprised with how much fun she was having. Persistent as the pink Hedgehog is, she introduced herself and her growing skills to the skating Hedgehogs, and was pleased with how easily they took her in. Later she discovered that at least Silver was happy to have some support for when rivalry between Sonic and Shadow got too overheated. Little did Silver know that Amy turned out to be just as competitive as the two other guys. Now she tries to balance her two lives: the one she build up with new friends she also holds dear, and her old life that turned into this skating frenzy with the guys. Silver the Hedgehog: Ever since the fight with Solaris, Silver has been stuck in the present. His future life no longer exists, since his timeline/life "bowed" back to beginning of the story of '06. To keep the timeloop in which Solaris has been defeated stable, Silver has to remain in the current time in the current dimension. Yet, his very existence that "looped" the timeline also looped Blaze her timeline and dimension backwards to parallel Silver's. This means that since the Soleanna story was been looped by defeating/blowing out Iblis his flame, and not erased, all of those who were present during the Solaris "void" have retained their memories of these events.After living in a future where survival was daily business, the calmer present confused Silver deeply. That got worse after the end of Eggman. The battles and "war" cam to an abrupt halt. Not accustomed to a life without stress, Silver did no longer know what to do. The world was beautiful, and he finally could socialise, but he was so estranged from the people around him that the connections where hard to make outside of those who he had learned to know from the Soleanne story. Nobody else even knew what happened anymore! On top of that, Blaze was gone, so his only friend who understood what living in a ruined world was like was out of reach. In an attempt to get used to the place he started travelling, alone. The sense of having to survive came back, and made him feel comfortable. In a few years, he travelled from place to place, learning what he could, helping whenever possible. He took a real liking into gardening and helping on farms. Slowly but surely he found his way, and learned to love the time he was in. Eventually he ended up back in the same city as the others. Amy told him the stories of what had happened in the time Silver travelled the world. It surprised Silver to hear that especially Sonic and Shadow couldn't get attuned to the new way, while Silver was the one from a whole different time. Those two are really more alike then they want to admit, Silver realised. While Silver keeps his job that he started at a farm near the city, he does participate in the skateboarding with Sonic and Shadow, resulting in the 3 becoming very close. Eventually Amy joins in, which makes them a solid team with each their own talents. Yet, he also misses Blaze. With the help of Tails a little "postal" hole between theirs and the Sol dimension is created, through which Silver and Blaze can write, or send voice memo's (since Silver cannot read, yet). Now and then a bigger portal is created, which allow the two to spend some sparse time together. It is the start of a slightly tragic romance between the hedgehog and the cat. Blaze the Cat: Blaze has become an anomaly in the Sol dimension. When she entered that dimension with Iblis locked inside her, the Sol dimension was reformed with the addition of the Sol Emeralds and Blaze. To keep this state of the dimension stable, both Blaze and the Sol Emeralds can only leave the dimension for very short amounts of time without it crumbling to nothing: the former state of the Sol dimension has vanished, and cannot be retained. Blaze has to live with both memories: the future ones in which she knew Silver, and the new one in the Sol dimension that always seemed to have existed like that.While Blaze tries to keep up with her new duty as princess and guardian of the Sol Emeralds, she is very relieved when a portal between hers and Silver's dimension is opened. Finally she has her friend back, and maybe even more then that. Tails the Fox:The older Tails got, the more he focussed on his inventions, which led to him being recognized as one of the most brilliant minds in the continent. He often get assignments from the city-council, and many others come to him for his problems. As a result, he barely has time to hang with his friends. The fox his hyperfocus is pretty intense. He often looses track of time or forgets to eat. This resulted in him staying a bit smaller the the rest, to his own disappointment. Yet Tails enjoys being taken in such high account, and happily helps whoever asks him, if he has the time. Knuckles the Echidna:When things became a lot calmer, Knuckles his guarding duties became a bit less exciting. From time to time Rouge passed by, and some culprits sometimes try to get their hands on the Emerald, but nothing that the Echidna couldn't handle with ease. So, to pass the time, Knuckles decides to start to make music. Part producer, part rapper, he makes his own tracks (although the computers are often not agreeing with him..!), and even has had some gigs already....
