Err... might I ask how long this render took? Looks like a lot of stuff to render!

I don't remember. I think I just let it run overnight... so, less than 6 hours.

Thanks, but I cannot take credit for the modeling: See Stonemason's "urban ruins" series at daz3d.

Very impressive. I haven't used DS4 build-in renderer yet, so I don't know if it is any better than DS3, but your image shows you know all about lighting.
(Don't see any coffee though... )

Wow... thanks for the vote of confidence! I've only ever used DS4, so I don't know whether it's harder or easier to get good lighting effects with other render engines. But this was not that difficult -- an UberEnvironment IBL dome with Ambient Occlusion plus one distant light with soft shadows. The trick is dialing in the balance & directionality between the two to make appear somewhat natural.

Thanks for info. I'll try it out one day. I always use external render engines...

Yes I'm drinking one right now as a matter of fact. Much happier to be here than in that scene!

Excellent scene, very 'dramatic' ! The POV is well chosen and the expression of the human soldier is perfect !
Excellent daz render.

This is another good one!! I'd be doing the same as that poor guy! Ducking for cover and trying to hit it from behind cover... though I don't think those little grenades are going to do him much good against armor like that! LOL
The only critique I'd have here is pose-tweaking, and it really is minor. If he was getting ready to throw the grenade, though, his forearm would be rotated a little more so that the underside of it was slightly more skyward, and the hand as well would rotate a little bit with it.
With his right arm in that angle, if he threw that grenade, it would bounce off the ground under him, or the wall in front of him and he'd be in big trouble!

Good point on the pose. Thanks for the feedback. I'll work on that.

Looks MUCH more realistic!! Now that grenade will make it over the wall!
Good job.
