makes me think of whenever kids actually cared about making there homework perfect and to them dotting the i's was hard work.
makes me also think of whenever children copy their parents. in this situation the father figure could of been drawing/paper work/anything really.

First of all, I like the textures in this drawing and it's really well done. It makes me feel kind of frustrated because it looks like he's doing homework. I wasn't a very good studen. HA!

Just curious if there was a model to it. It almost conveys a since of sadness, I think it's just the shadows, the kid seems alone. It's his own little bubble around himself.

I love it. the softness is perfect but i think the face is too light, it doesn't bring out the eyes and other features, you get to drawn to the dark hair (which is nicely done)

I don't see much that could improved upon, really. The shading is damn good. The face especially draws my attention...reminds me of Norman Rockwell. This definitely deserves to be featured.

Just wondering, what made you decide to draw something like this - did you see a kid like in this picture or did you just think it up. I myself cannot draw things in my head - they come out terribly distored but I can draw things/people/landscapes in front of me.

Nice work mate, I'm loving the way you rendered his hair. Advanced critique eh? Well, you are obviously a talented artist, the only thing that I notice is that his hand doesn't leave any shadow on the paper, but his fingers have shadow along the bottom.
I think this is a great piece, how does it make me feel? Well, it makes me smile, and makes me think, but for some reason, makes me feel lonely as well.
