Oh man dkgljsdfglskd this is the first tutorial I've done EVER so pls go easy on me. I obviously can't teach someone how to paint, but I'm hoping some of the things I do might be useful to people who haven't thought about certain techniques before. ;_;This was a pretty long tutorial and I was only painting Rue. I had thought previously I could do a tutorial on the whole painting but as I was painting and taking photos I was like, nah... klfgjdl
A good few hours were spent making this, so there was effort involved at least. Cries.
I hope this might inspire someone to try watercolor who hasn't really used it, too. And to just help a tiny bit in general. :'D

I really need to try watercolors sometime! I have the paper and everything I just haven't done it yet UGH STOP PROCRASTINATING SELF. I know you use salt in some of your watercolor paintings, what exactly is that and how do you use it? I should probably just go look it up instead of bothering you hah sorry

so basically I use table salt and put it on wet paint- the timing of when you put the salt down onto the paint and how much salt you use effects the outcome, as well as the type of paint (salt works a ton better w my artist grade paints than it did w my student grade).

I found one thing of watercolors in an art set my aunt got for me last Christmas! It's got both palettes and tubes, but way more tubes than palettes actually. Do you ever use tubes and how do you like them in comparison to palettes?
I know I have a bunch of kinda little-kidish watercolor palettes somewhere else I just gotta find them. I used to draw lots of watercolor stuff when I was really little hahaha. but like really bad watercolors because I used regular paper and used way too much water XD I think I had fun though~

What brand is the art set?
I always use pans- tubes are nice to get more color but pans are simpler to take places and idk, I've used pans for yearrsss. Professionals always recommend tubes over pans but I don't rly care lol. I'll probably build up some tubes actually because I want more Schmincke colors other than what I have in my pan set.
I also have one bottle of liquid watercolor that I use!
