I've actually drawn this character in a previous commission! It was an absolute delight to tackle her again:
The commissioner asked to change to a more natural skintone (before it was bright pink, though the scanner couldn't pick it up), and we ended up using R00 as a base shaded with the RV9s and oooooooooh my goodness. Dream team colour combo.
One of the things about this character is that yes, she takes an eternity to draw because she has so many complex elements, but she doesn't FEEL over-designed. I'm not looking at her and thinking "Okay, that's too much, we need to tone it back." It just has the right balance. Maybe that's just me, though. I'm a little biased over here.

On the one hand, this one took way longer than it should have, so thank you all for your patience. On the other hand, I was intentionally dragging it out because I loved working on it and didn't want to have to stop, so that's on me.
Jokes aside, my work schedule has been insane so I haven't had as much time to work on commissions and I also need more time to recover on my days off before working on commissions, so instead of drawing for my usual 10-12 hours on days off, I've only been doing 7-8. Add that to the complexity of this character, and it took twice as long as normal. (I assure you I'm not complaining - as I said, I loved this one, so I'm glad I was able to spend longer on it.)

When I first opened commissions, this is what I was really looking forward to: D&D reference pages, fantasy, etc. I obviously really appreciate the other commissions as well, but this is where my heart lies.

My scanner actually picked up these colours and I am going to cry. HJfdhsjhdshsj The difference between this scanner and the last one, I tell you. Previous one was scanned and then spent well over an hour trying to match colours and it was nowhere close. This one was literally scan-and-save. No colour editing was necessary. MARRY ME, SCANNER.

I am IN LOVE with the watercolor splash mark at the top left, and the one directly beneath that is my first official use of the Copic Airbrush system.

Done with Copic markers on Strathmore marker paper (three separate pages digitally spliced). Polychromos and Dr. P.H. Martin Bombay India Ink throughout.
