Rainbow Dash was a commission and is not for sale. Commissions are currently closed.
Rainbow Dash is made entirely from minky (baby blue, I think?, a red I bought here, pumpkin, a yellow I bought here, a green I bought here, a blue I bought here, and purple...SO...MANY...COLOURS...) and polyester stuffing. She is hand embroidered and machine sewn with hand-sewn segments (the wings, the element, and the attachment of...well, everything). Her Element of Harmony is hand-stitched with machine embroidery and contains a wire (ironed onto the back using iron-on interfacing) so it can bend around her neck easily. Her legs have hand-dyed gradients fading into a darker blue. She has 3D felt eyelashes as well as flat embroidered ones.
She stands 22 inches tall and 20 inches long. She contains a pouch with a zipper to hold a 5x7 inch piece of cardboard. She will have a removable chain later (I'm going to order them all at once). Her element is also removable.
Personal/Side Note stuff:
She took too long for me to say; if I tried to think up an estimate it would make me too angry. She didn't take as long as Applejack, though, in regards to embroidery and such, but it might be that I just spread out the work for her over a longer period while I did AJ in about three days.
I'm super happy with her upper mane. Normally I feel like her mane is too tall up top or just looks bad, but I redid it this morning and I love how it turned out. Basting also helped a LOT with her tail, instead of having pins everywhere whilst sewing on the machine.
So! I'm going to take the rest of the day off now! Have a good one, guys!
