Doctor Missus The Monarch is one of my favourite ladies going.I'll redux this into a print some time.
EDIT: redux complete, this deviation has been moved to scraps, and now contains step by step screen shots of the process.

How did you define the lines from step one? This is something I'm trying to work on. The final product is beautiful!

how did I do the sketch you mean? I drew from imagination, just used the good old sausage and circle framework technique and fleshed it out from there.

Ah, I see how you did that. I meant in the later/newer drawing, the lines are cleaner--did you use pen tool for that?

no, I just took more time and drew at a higher resolution. That initial image was done in under an hour, while the later steps took several.
