Hi, sorry for the late reply.. wasn't here for a while.
The cracks in the Samurai painting were made with a permanent marker (fine), Copic markers for darker crack-part (grey tones for light background, dark red for the blood areas) and laquer pens (?) for the highlighted crack-part... I hope this made any sense ?
And yes, I just let the red paint drip on the canvas
