Description
This is a set of commissioned miniature books. The whole idea was that the set should resemble library.Books are hardcover, 30 blank pages books and 1.8 cm high (0.70 inch). No decorations and solid colors. Faux leather covers, in my own technique.
You can see the related video (not very good, though, as I didn't have my camera...) here: [link] But these photos are much closer to real look
Hope you like it

Wow... I suppose that commissions done in that size must be nice and cheap to post to the client! I am, as usual, amazed

Glad you like them
And unfortunately, no, they're not cheap to send (I have to include sort of insurance as they're unique objects and since most of my customers are not from the same country as I am, you may imagine). But I cover the shipment costs for those who buy from me, always

No need to be sorry, we understand each other, so no problem at all They're called raised bands, in this case they're fake ones and I did them by implementing a pieces of thinly cut cardboard onto the spine cover, before covering the book with faux leather. Lol, I'm bad with explaining, really. If you want me to explain further, do feel free to note me, I'm happy to help with this kind of things

Thank you, I appreciate you like them!
As for being ashamed...you should see the pile of rubbish I made before learning to make anything even half-decent, lol. There's no room for shame...just try and try again. And if I can help anyhow, do note me, I'm always opened for that

Trust me when I say I understand. Gosh, no one I know really has money these days (did I just wrote "gosh"?!?) Too many artist friends, lol
Anyway, if you like that stuff, pay attention to my next contest...it is still in plans and it won't start before fall (or even later this year), but miniature books will be among the prizes and knowing your art skills, you might get a book for yourself after all
