Check the video: [link]This is a fairy tale type of book, made to be a prop in the Red Riding Hood themed movie, called "Little Red" (working title) by Sara Baum
For once (which will come as a surprise to my watchers, lol) it is a regular size book.
A bit over 8 x 6 inches, this is a saddle stitched book and has hard covers in red faux leather. There are 55 pages dyed in black tea, of which only four middle ones are fully printed with a Red Riding Hood story and illustrations (which is familiar to you as a bookmark and as a painting already in my gallery). The book has a silk bookmark, finished with "snake tongue".
Covers are gilded in gold leaf.
As always, all done by hand, by me: digital art and preparation, faux leather creating (with help of my sister
), paper dyeing, stitching, "snake tongue" and gilding.Hope you like it

On the other hand, it has very little to do with the miniature book tut in my gallery..even though it fits fine for that type of miniatures, it wouldn't hold for long when it comes to big book, lol.

I would stalk a little girl through the woods, kidnap her grandmother, and crossdress as said grandmother, all in an attempt to kidnap the girl just to get a copy of this book.

I've charged this 100$, because it was a prop, needed mostly empty (as you can see in the video)...If full printed, it would be somewhat higher priced, but I don't think it would go over 150$, all in all...and it depends of the number of pages, of course.

I have been doing pretty well. Lost the office job with the cab company, but I do have a gas station position now. It is pretty kool. Nothing too thrilling, but it pays the bills. Grandma had to be sent to the hospital again. Her potassium was too high. The doctor said that if we waited much longer, she would have passed, so it was good we caught it in time.
I wonder something, Would there be a way to mock up a couple pages like you have already done, but to make the book a pen/pencil holder? You know, have a hollow spot in the book where one could put pens/pencils...that type items? Given, it will take a little bit to make up the money, but I think that would be pretty kool. Perhaps also make the book look a bit aged. I love what you did with this one, but maybe have the book look like it has been around a long time. Some of the goldleaf is worn off a bit, maybe some darkening, like it has survived a fire. The red you used it delicious. And, as I am thinking about it, you might not be able to do a couple designed pages, since it will be hollow inside. Ah! Inspiration!! You could just decorate the inside cover! That would be awesome! Have the pictures of Little Red and Big Bad side by side in the front cover. That would be amazing!
Could you do something like that? You could probably take a bunch of paper, glue them together and then cut a space through them and build the book around that. I love the aged look that you do and would love to see that.

First comes first, I'm glad your grandma's condition was caught in time. I can imagine how you must have felt upon hearing what doctor said. Wish she'll get better soon 
Job sounds pretty good and as you said, along as it pays the bills...heh, I like to think of jobs in an old Japanese way: do what you must do for living, but dedicate your spare time to what you really enjoy doing. It is a good formula
As for the book, the answer is: sure, hole and aging and everything else
And you know money isn't a problem either, or waiting for it, or splitting the payments or whatever we agree on doing about it...We know each other for a while now and already done some awesome business together and hey, I trust you. Also, if you remember, I like my customers relaxed when buying from me

Yeah, it kinda took me off guard when I heard what the doctor had said, but at the same time, I was really relieved. She kept talking about her foot hurting her and the doctor had already said he would have to amputate parts (included to, but not limited to) of the foot to the knee. We are just happy to have caught it before the worst happened.
And, yes, I will email you as soon as possible to work out details and what not.
