I'm way behind answering to anything...
Anyway, I think it is upon the observer to take the meaning of the figure...to some it might be Death, to some something else...a sinister stalker lurking in the night or maybe the benevolent traveler wrapped in his cloak...it's up to viewer to see what's out of the window

I assume this is an oil on canvas from the texture.
You did a great job in creating depth of field, which can be tricky with a very close foreground framing in front of the actual focus of the painting, which is further away.
It is even harder to do in a night scene, with differences in light being so subtle. Your distribution of light from the moon is also done nicely. Very good quality of work.
Would you say that the color and light level match the original pretty closely?

If I may offer a bit of information of copyright law, just in case you don't know, but not meaning to presume.
It is a good idea, and traditional to sign your work with at least your name and year done.
By international convention, there are three elements necessary for protection of your work, and they can be in ANY order:
1. Your Name or Tradename (registered)
2. The Β© symbol as you see it (hand-drawn or typedβoption g)
3. The year produced, and each year it was changed after that.
Examples:
Jane Doe Β© 2009
Β©Jane Doe 2009
Jane Doe 2009, 2010Β©
