Well, I was working on it until about Five in the morning last night. The past 2 weeks I've drawn the most I have since I'm like 10 years old. I didn't realize I liked it so much.
So, did you start The Shawshank Redemption drawing yet?

this is absolutely great...you draw in a very strange way.I do the eyes, the nose and the mouth first...as a rough sketch...and then I do the shading...but i like your way better

For me, I always have to start with either the left or the right eye, it's kinda weird. I've never started anywhere else, I don't know why. I think it helps me with proportion. I think it might be a bad thing sometimes though. I concentrate too much on one area and the rest of the drawing isn't as detailed.
I could never do a rough sketch of the entire drawing because I always like to have one dominant area to work off of, you know?

Cool. I guess I'm not the only one. I wonder if the majority of people start with an eye, it seems to be popular. Popular between me and you, I mean. Maybe we're just outcasts.

maybe...but I think most people do it this way...I have a friend who draws too, and she starts with the eyes
