Well he looks like crap.....If crap is the coolest thing on earth. For a low poly this thing looks as good if not better than my high poly renders.

It's a very good render, the textures are especially good! Although, his pose confuses me a little! As someone who does sword fighting I can't really think of any reason you'd have your scabbard on the same side as your sword arm. It makes it very difficult to draw.
Apart from that minor issue this really is a wonderful model!

I have the feeling that I have commented about this before. The shoulder protector. It's stupid to have it on the same side as the sword. If you got a sword in the right hand, place the shoulder protector on the left.
If it's in the left, then the shoulder protector should be on the right.
As it is now, the shoulder protector only serve to add weight and destabilize the character in question during battle. He will be unguarded on his right side. Since the weight on the left side pulls him down, it will leave his right side even more exposed. That getup is like asking to be killed, at least if he wears it for anything else than a decorative purpose.

not really if his laft arm stringer then he is still balanced and he attacking with the left so in one movement he can attack and block

Well first off, wearing shoulder protectors without an armor is silly.
The shoulder protectors protected flaws of older medieval armor designs.
Wearing just one is stupid. It's like wearing a helmet that only protects half of your head.
The newer models incorporated the shoulder protectors, as they were in themselves, flawed, hanging by themselves.
When I said left side, I did specify "his" left side. It's weighing him down.
It's also the same side he is holding the sword. I am not questioning the mans ability to defend himself.
The extra unnecessary weight will serve only to slow him and his reflexes down.
It will cause him to be affected by fatigue more easily. In a word. It's silly.
War was never about saying. "Hi enemy" and a honorable fight between men.
Fights usually began with surprise attacks, meaning you need one hell of a reaction time.
Unnecessary weight will slow that down, even more so when position awkwardly like this one.
I'm not saying it's impossible for him to defend himself, I'm just saying with that one block on his shoulder,
it will be harder, it will force him to lose valuable energy, needed in battle. As well as valuable response time.
Also, you mentioned that he could protect himself with it. It's not a shield. He can't move it around to protect himself.
A surprise attack from his right side and he would have zero chance to defend himself, since his protection is his left.
He will draw his weapon from the left side, thus, he would've been protected on the left side without the shoulder protector.
Also, the shoulder by itself is not necessary to protect. You'd need a full armor and to shoulder protectors to make it useful.
To make a long story short, the shoulder protector, by itself, is unnecessary.
It's actually safer being without one shoulder protector, than having just the one.
