Hmm... need to figure out how to make a preview loading bar for ready made swf from After Effects... (The file is 3MB)I notice the loading on DA is not as smooth as it should have been. Watch on Youtube if it's too slow for you.

For my animation project. The colors are done in a modest way to save time.
After watching my own animation many times, there are many imperfections, but for the time being, I am happy with what I have so far.
I want to push for Sequence 4-5, but those need to be worked out with much higher attention to detail and there's much more to be corrected. bah.
Still need to go back to my flash and maya projects....
Though 2D animation is tedious when it comes to tweening , cleaning up and coloring.... I still prefer it's process over 3D so far. 3D animation think in the way of computer and architects... not normal artists.
Tools of Trade:
Pencils, animation paper, peg bar,
photoshop, corel painter 9, after effects CS3
and tons of study on books like:
Illusion of Life- Magic of Disney
Timing for Animation
Watching animation with slow 1/4 on DVD time after time
Throw 30'000 dollar into an art school to get you to work your ass off. ;D

It's an animated series that I have come up with, I've already came up with the main and some of the supportive characters/character design and i have typed about 2 episodes and I need someone to edit the third then that will be complete.if you where to estimate how long do you think it would take for you to finish your job? Also do you mind spreading the word about my show for anyone who would be interested in animating, voice acting and/or script editing

That's pretty cool! Β I want to get into an animation school but I've always felt that they would have no inclinations towards drawing in an anime style. Β Were you ever looked down because you drew in that way? Β I have a portfolio review coming up and I'm kind of nervous because my original works are almost always in an anime influenced style :/ Β Otherwise I only have studies and other art school projects that I've done in the past, but they're outdated now..

During my school years I did double the work, finished cartoon style they wanted with their requested standard then spent most of my time doing what I want to do, anime style. Just know if you chose anime style and stick to it, you are stuck with freelancing after school. No studio, and no network wants anime style unless they are indie, kickstarter. If you are okay with that, go for it.Β

Does that mean you're freelancing at the moment or do you work for a group/studio and do your personal work on the side?

i am full time freelancer. Actually unless you move to West coast into Hollywood, most of the people are considered freelancers even if they sit in the studio for years. Most studios can't afford hiring full time so most people are contracted as part-timers. That's the life of artists. ^^bΒ
I currently work for a start up studio in CA as an offsite freelancer, and some indy studios from Kickstarter including my own studio.

i don't do 3D animation actually, i can't stand it. I just do 2D in photoshop, flash, or toonboom straight.

there are probably cheap programs, but what i use is photoshop, AE and pencil/paper on this one.
