how did you come up with this story? soon I will whrite a story like this, hard to do as good as your manga but I want to share my little story to, if you know whqat I mean :$

I should make that an FAQ... I think I haven't addressed that but more people are asking the same Q.
A few reasons combined:
1. I was inspired by a nurse in China caring for the nasty people with skin disease, those people weren't friendly, they would fight and bite if they could... but she helped them to form a community with good relationships.
2. I wanted to do a manga with robots, just to challenge myself, knowing most female artists aren't even interested in drawing such a genre. I ended up liking to draw robots after creating None.
I made a basic story of what I wanted to do, and then start to plan it in sketches, I always write my story in sketches form.
Then I go into researching, learning about what's going on in the science world, (since robot is always related to science) read popular science magazine, watch Science channel as I develop the story on a consistent level. But I do feel I am always behind on the news.
Bought a "How to draw manga book" on giant robots and got the concept on designing a robot.... and gave it a few tries until I like my result. I never designed a giant robot for a story before this (other than a few for fun doodles) so I just took my character Lien (Chris) and turn him into a robot, and there's None.
After a year of developing on on the story idea, I started the manga, but continue to develop it as it goes... watching the audience reaction and then make changes at times to my plot, sticking with my original intended flow.
This story is not long compare to my other yet-to-be-born 2Masters.... the ending is already planned and decided, I just need to finish the final product.

ahh mayshing this is my favorite update by far! You know, I really would almost want an Angel x Kolei pairing but Angel x Chris is just way too much perfect for that to happen... but Angel has her ways with those brothers!! Your plot development is amazing *__*
So I just caught up reading edepth online... then I received the manga today from you and it's BEAUTIFUL! Thank you so much for a fabulous first volume with four chapters, it was so lushly colored and just as pretty as on screen! *__* I got so excited when I saw your deleted scene rough draft too hehe :]

Of course that's a poor excuse. But I want to finish it. BAD. So I am rushing, I want to get Edepth out of the way (like he's throwing those dishes) so I can get to the series that is more than an experiment for me.

I just want to finish the story, very badly. You can try to pull out 20 pages in 20 days and see how well your work goes.

I am trying to get to 2Masters, but I can't right now... T_T I have two other series I really really really want to do, I am not looking to Edepth to make me much money because both format and medium does not fit well for general market. No publishers will take it unless I am insanely famous and which I am not. Thats why I am trying hard to end it, mainly for the fans to see the story. It still has some twists to offer.
This drop of quality will not happen with 2Masters, I have prepared that series so much more than E-depth.

Honestly, when I am about tired of the series, it's the fans who want to see what happens next that kept me going. So it's thanks to ppl like you it's still going. 
I have dropped too many stories before it, I don't like dropping things half way anymore... I prefer to finish them and give myself a sense of accomplishment, and after a few years, look back and wonder how I did it.

I love angel so much... she's such a lovable person T_T and you're making kolei so much more agreeable now XD he seems more reasonable than chris. hehe, and when chris found out that angel cooked his food, he was so cuute

Chapter 9 has more exciting backgrounds to do, but chapter 8 is all carried through by characters. Not the scenery.

I am not good at summing up the plot...
In simplicity... it's a little nurse who tries to save the cyborg's world, starting by helping her extremely angst, difficult, and all knowing patient Lien Lei. A bad tempered cyborg, a very bad Pinocchuio.
