But of course, doing flat coloring usually means my work has less colors than before unless I want to do all the fancy lights, colored lines. XP omg, No time for that right now. I will think about it later.
I am still experimenting with coloring, like once mentioned, experimental quality sort of makes Edepth. It's a work of a lot of Firsts.
BTW, a little thing about the name, E, is like the sound for 1 in Chinese. E-Depth reflects a lot of my firsts.... first full colored webcomic, first volume, first mecha sci-fi story, first transformer robot type design, first webcomic with advertisement.... I went through a lot of "Firsts" with E-depth. It's sort of what I used to break into the world and try to understand this new thing called Webcomic industry. The first one to let me notice a lot of mistakes.
As long as it doesn't turn to E-Death, I am pretty happy. lol
Therefore, 2Masters is... number 2! Following after E, the #1.
OK, I am done being a nerd now.
I wish i have finished stored pages for Edepth, but i really don't, and my sketched pages are running out again.

Nice action on page 537! But the next one (538) looked unnaturally bright between dark (in both meanings!) pages 537 & 539.
Oh, and pages 543-545 are really cool too! A bit thicker lines are perfectly matching flat color, I think.
Err... I'm kinda confused... You wrote at DrunkDuck, that this is chapter 9, which had ended. But there already was cover for chapter 10 and it seemed to have started from page 505. Which chapter was finished right now? O_o

unnaturally bright and dark.... hmm, i will double check on that, it doesn't look that strange on my screen.

Oh, I probably shouldn't use word "unnaturally". I simply meant that page 538 seems to have brighter color palette than two pages before and after. So it is quite unexpected to see it like this. If it was done on purpose, then it's completely alright

i was playing around and see if the change of color theme from page to page will work.... hmmmmm you brought up a good point, i will be careful of the value change as well from now on.

oooh, oops, sorry, i confused myself and confused you.... because this Chapter 10 originally was the end of Chapter 9, it's too long so i chopped it to chapter 10, and i forgot about that when i mentioned it. lol~

Oh yeah? Well he looks different since I last saw him in Edepth
ah, new outfit!
Well I haven't worked since summer camp, (wouldn't you know it, I'm wearing the staff t-shirt I got right now!)
and most of that money went into this years tuition.
so I've gotta get a job at some point, though I'm toying with the idea of starting commissions.

You know what? I've just started reading this comic today. Got as far as volume 1. I had to stop, because... well... I actually ought to be making my homework instead. *rolls eyes*
But it's really great so far! It's kind of like PSO meets Gundam, or something. Nice.
And the fact that it's experimental in some way only adds to its charm in my opinion. Everybody needs to learn to do this sort of stuff at some point, and the best way to do so, is to just go ahead and start the comic... Learn while doing, y'know? Comics that just start off all squeeky clean and perfect are a little less, I don't know, a little less personal somehow. Having said that, I only WISH I could draw a perfect comic right off the bat. I have to learn while working too. But I must admit I'm nowhere near as good as you... Better art, better story and better story-telling techniques.
But that's ok. I figure I'll probably improve some day too.
Once my schedule opens up, and once I've read all the volumes, I really should do some fan art for you or something. It'll be a good opportunity to practice drawing mechs.

great, thank you for the lovely feedback. I am glad you like it.
Oh story teling.... i wish i didn't make so many mistakes with Edepth, I won't talk about them now... but yes, you get better as you go in this medium.

You're welcome! Well, a nice comic deserves some nice feedback.
Oh, I didn't think there was that much wrong with Edepth's story so far. Well, maybe a few things that could have been explained a little bit better, but overall it was quite good. Nowhere near as many loose ends as you usually see in other comics, even the professional ones.
You're seriously doing a great job. The only thing I found a little puzzling was the part in the beginning where Chris basically blew up Randy and he was bleeding to death. His little (semi)brother (forgot his name) seemed a little passive about it all, despite the great relationship they seem to have. I just thought that if you're that young and you see your almost-big-brother lying on a big pool of blood with most of his limbs missing, that would upset you... considerably. If it had been me, I would have made quite a scene, but the again I am a bit of a wuss. Maybe the kid was just shellshocked or something.
But like I said, that was the only thing I've seen so far which seemed a little off, and it was very early in the comic and not really plot-crucial or anything. Overall I think it's all great!

oh, it's "shock" stage, i have lost people I know before, in the first several hours,
you won't feel it's even "real" it takes time to settle in.
That's how I described Renel, his expression wasn't as dramatic as how you would see usually in entertainment.
But if Angel wasn't there, Renel would have built up a stronger reaction when he feels helpless.

I've never been in that situation myself (thankfully), so I suppose you're probably right.
And yes, I figured it also had something to do with Angel's calming presence.
