OK... I tried my hands at Chinese caligraphy watercolor painting...... This is just a practice.... (60% a copy of another's popular composition)
The caligraphy in this piece is unplanned.... OTL (which means it's bad) so don't go there... I don't even like it myself.
Maybe the previous experience in watercolor helped.
I think alot of things can be worked on in this piece, but i just want to show it here for now, adding to my gallery some variety.
I wish to continue practice and bring out better works of my own later.

Yeah ur right. But I cant get materials like that. My parents rnt the type to actually buy expensive pens and pencils like that. They just perfer the ol' number 2 pencils and plain ol' notebook/computer paper .-. so thats all im pretty much stuck with. Mechanical pencils, paper, colored pencils, and picture it express

it would of been cool if u did it in feet, i can actually see someone doing that, making a huge pic of a tree, maybe for a play or something

ah, but what u need is a little sibling, and say that ull do the backdrop for their play, and then u can get practice, and if it is good, you will also get some renown

It looks really professional, I agree. The tree looks really good, and I don't know why you dislike the calligraphy so much...it's so pretty. It's all really beautiful.

Beautiful traditional look and appeal. I love the design, a very sensual prowess is given off, why? I can't say but maybe its the smooth look/feel and the simple stylings. It just looks great.

Very nice maysing, it looks very, you know 'Ye Olde' chinese black n whit paintings. It is amazing how you managed to make the natural and subtle tones on the side of the tree. Whenever I use water colour it goes, *SPLOOGE* 'holy crap' and the black goes everywhere. Now using water colour is like a lottery, never knowing whether it will turn out okay or not. Anyway, I loved this, and I'm sure I'll enjoy your other works ^^.

Think of trees as persons, people, characters.... they each have their own personality.

i know this comment may sound a bit weird, but I still like how you painted out the long brance, it looks more organic and alive.

Ah! So pretty. I like the angular, crooked feel of the tree. It reminds that something doesn't have to be perfect in order to be pretty.
