Description
I was doing my contest entry in photoshop, but i changed my mind... my contest entry for this time is done in oekakis boards, pieced together with microsoft paint.The quality suffered a little, but its my medium of choice. I will post the original photoshop entry up later...
I am not aiming to win, just to show u, what simple medium can do if one choose to use it.

Ahhh, wow!! You really DID do awesomely with this!! I agree.. sometimes the simplest tools can be the most effective, if you have the time and patience to use them...

You really should be commended. I'm glad someone like you took time to prove what could be done with the simplest of tools (MS Paint is sometimes harder than a pencil to use). I'm really glad you're around DevArt.

I like how you used different animals instead of the usual hedgehogs, foxes, and etc.
You can make anything look good no matter what type of medium you use, as long as you know how to use it well.

this looks sooooo cool. its such a cool idea, and i lovve how the charries are all showing thier abilties and poses. i wanted to do the same to some of my human charries, but never got the chance. i really love the bright colours, and the painty feel in the background, it all looks so good. wowies, it really does look like a super cool pic.

ohhh some of of yer own furry characters ohh yeah! i like the first two paintings, full of action and have a real sonic feel to them (leins eye is kind of freaky though how it goes outside his eyeball) rene is kinda different but probably cause hes fully clothed and doesn't have the skinny limbs thing going on. MS paint? man thats old schoool!

I am really really blown away- I was so impressed and awed at the great powerfulness of using oekaki- a whole grande peice with just oekaki and ms paint! It's still so magnificent and looks stylish and great~ AWSOME JOB~ I hope many people learn from this one and see you can make things really great with various tools! ^0^

One thing though. The background pic for Ran, the eyes don't appear to match the rest of the picture. They look more like the eyes of the character in the foreground. Just some helpful input

Good composition showing each character in action and still. Maybe if you greyed/blued the background action figures colour slightly so the stills stood out in front, it would give a clearer impact. Great drawing though.
I don't know much about oekakis boards. They seem to be a scratchy or slightly blurred finish? The look is cool and a contrast to photshop. I'm new to this, please tell me more about them?

I thought about toning them down.... but I didn't do it because i love it so much the way the colors were. ^_^
Oekakis boards are online doodle boards for artists, they are everywhere... in personal galleries, or websites.. there are english ones and jp ones... also servers who allows you to sign up for a personal oekakis board. There are different types too...
The quality of oekakis boards differ, some are more like photoshop, some are more like MS paint... the one I used is in between them.
