Really beautiful - it looks like ink! The depth is shockingly salient - the contrast is wonderful as it is, and it made a perfect value study. It's convincing, yet almost abstract at the same time. Well done!

It's amazing - when I look at this picture, it makes me aware of how things really look. When we look at something, we aren't just looking at shape or color, but we also intake how the light falls on it. So when I looked at this picture, it's like it opened my eyes again.
Right, sorry for babbling. If you skipped the boring bit above, I'll say simply - I like it. ^^~
(Er, sorry if I submitted this multiple times. ><

Yeah, that's my goal too... to get the sense of light and value. :3 Thanks, your babbling was fun to read.

This looks really cool..... I thought it was a photo at first. I am not too sure what value studies are, but it doesn't change how well done this is (we have art teachers who just critique and not much on the terms stuff)

Value is light to dark, dark to light on a piece of art. It's grey scale. :3
Value also divides into 4 categories
Light
Medium
Dark
All
This photo I took has All scale, so I was trying to copy it. It's a quick study so it's on a rough side. Still I like it. Thanks for the comment, hope my feed back helps.
