I'm not dead, I just have a new job. Sorry to be inactive!
I caught a new shiny on White! She's a shiny Sandile, naive of nature, loves to fight (great att IVs yeah!) and she have the moxie ability. I drew her inspired by "art nouveau" my sister ~Blizzou was making while I caught her.
Now guys if you don't have a shiny, don't fret seriously! Just do these simple steps: Start a new game often (Sometimes just a change of ID can bring great luck I tell you!), breed a lot, train/EV train a lot and make the Masuda method (6 times as much shinies) Or go on the GTS, there is so many of them lol Good luck on your catch or breeding!

also wanna add a funny thing for that "how to catch shinys" list you got.
if you get yourself a japanese ditto and start breeding it with any pokemon
youll get a shiny in NO TIME. seriously, I only had to hatch about a hundred
kabutos before I got a shiny! thats nuts I tell you!!

I'd LOVE to try and breed my Krookodile, Quinn, but (and I know this is going to sound crazy) she doesn't like ANYONE. Honestly, I've tried 20 different pokemon (all of whom she CAN breed with) and she hates each and everyone of them. I know I could get an egg, but when you're aiming for egg-only moves it's kind of a kill joy.

it seems like I found WAY more shinies in the gba games than I have in the newer ones. I found a doduo, spearow, and kakuna on my leaf green cart, but I have yet to find any in diamond/pearl/black/white. maybe I just haven't played them as much?

Getting a shiny on the GTS ain't really worth it. Most of them are hacked. And have you see the crazy deals they offer? There's one dude (or more) on there offering a shiny lv. 100 Reuniclus for a level 9 and under Reshiram/Zekrom. It's crazy and it's all I ever see on there.
I've been trying to get myself a shiny Zoura using the Masuda method but no luck so far. 350+ eggs and still nothing.

I got CRAZY lucky for my first shiny. Caught a shiny Haunter in Diamond and transferred the bro over to White. B)

Cool art and nice catch, I have 4 shinies, tentacool and ledyba from my Emerald game and a psyduck from diamond, but I get a chikorita from a legal method that requires a lot of time.
