I love how whimsical this is! The feathered hat, the jester, the castle made of lily pads. You know, you should really get all your children's illos pictures together and publish them in book form.

Thank you! Funny, I wracked my brain trying to come up with a 'circus' themed work...when this idea came it was out of nowhere
I'd love to make a book someday, maybe a pic with a story next to it on each page. I'm not much of a 'word person', though. Compulsive reader, yes...writer, no. I wish I had your hypergraphia

*Catches two of the annoying flies in my bed room*
Talking of flies, I saw two amazingly funny comedians from Australia the other day, something about a fly (they make allot of noises with their mouth while mimicking trying to kill it in several funny ways...well, it was hilarious! Best I've seen ever actually =^_^= )
Oh, back to the art
I love you're interpretation of the theme =^_^=
Mine got so bad I didn't even upload it
I just love the little "pet"
And I've never seen a castle so creative before!

LOL, I like your take on a subject not thrilling to you. You took it and made it your own subject. Love the little guys. I would go to their circus any day!

I was thinking of you as I posted this, especially since I'd written you a couple of days before that I wasn't going to do one
I had this frog painting emerging (from another idea) and halfway through thought I should try to work it into the circus theme
It was kind of a stretch, no? But a nice challenge...took a frog Prince and turned him into the Ring Master

It works for me..........and I chose to do the other side of the circus, a viewer, rather than part of the show...it fit my interests more, too. I'm glad you found a solution to the problem and glad to see another piece of art from you, of course. Wish I could get some stuff done and posted. Traditional, for me, takes so long..........and I have all these other resposnisibilities and obligations. I think my husband would really like me to just quit doing much art, except occassionally so I would be free to work on the house remodeling and do other things he thinks is important. I'm tired this morning.

Sometimes I'm really up in the air about which is quicker, digital or traditional. I guess it depends on how you work them, eh?
I'm lucky I always spend the time after dinner working on paintings. We've worked it into our routine, otherwise I wouldn't have time for it either...but this way I have a good 5 hours uninterrupted everyday to paint, and sometimes an hour here or there through the day. If I had to work there'd be no way I could manage that much time, though, so I'm really lucky. I wish you had more time for art
Hey? Did you have a look at the link to call for entries at Dantes Heart? I still need to do a journal about that, keep starting it and then getting sidetracked. I think your work would fit in there well, especially as you both paint AND write

You and me both. On the whole it seems like digital is, at least by a lot of people, but then there are those that take multi hours doing it, like you. It may depend on whether someone is using software shortcuts or mouse strokes to create an effect.
I can ususally get a couple hours a day in, most days, unless I'm just tired or the family gets complicated. In the evening while the tv is on I'll sometimes bring a drawing and supplies and cozy on the couch and draw awhile, but I don't get as much done and it's really bad for my hip. If I wasn't trying, needing to work on remodeling the house, too, it wouldn't be as hard. Oh, well, things will change. The home remodeling will be done someday, the kids will be moved out, I won't be working.
I haven't done anything about Dante yet, thanks for reminding me. I think I have a poem and maybe a drawing or two I could submit. It would be fun to be included.

Aw, thank you for your comment I dunno about having lots of talent, tho', maybe I'm just obsessive enough to keep painting till something is done
