You just gotta love Spongebob!
I came up with this idea a while ago and forgot about it for quite some time. Then all of a sudden, it came back! So I just had to draw it.
I was gonna make Mario Spongebob because he's the main character, but Spongebob seemed to fit Luigi more. So that's why it is how it is. I was also gonna add Waluigi (Squidward), Wario (Mr. Krabs), Yoshi (Gary), and Peach (Sandy). But I didn't have enough room on the paper.
Oh well. Hope you like it anyway.

Though i do like mixing these Duos, honestly, neither Mario nor Luigi are suited as Patrick, since both are very mature whereas Patrick is dumb. But still, as said earlier, i like the comparison between Spongebob/Patrick and Mario/Luigi

I see Peach as Mindy and Daisy as Sandy more, which in my opinion makes more sense personality-wise. And I guess Rosalina can be Pearl and Bowser can be Plankton?

I do see Daisy as being more of a Sandy and Peach as being more of a Pearl personality-wise, but I wanted to keep the main cast together. Y'know? I might draw the rest of the gang one day.
