well I mean it honestly. my stuff tends to look more "realistic" and the impressionists were just that! painted "impressions" of things. they conveyed emotions with their style and I have always loved the impressionists. another favorite of mine is Van Gogh. he wasn't an impressionist, (he was in his own catagory i think) but he was brilliant! I'd paint like him if i could afford gobs of paint, like he used! oh well! Keep up the good work and paint,paint, paint! sincerely Steven Poole! (SteevDragon)
