Very different from your usual stuff. I don't think I like the watercolor softness effect too much. I do like the lighting though. I don't know, I'm conflicted on this one, hahah.

I know what you're saying.. I struggled with the palette on this one. I have around 5-6 versions - each one getting more and more pastel/pale. I really like the way she turned out in the end.

I enjoy reading your comments so feel free to say anything you want about any piece I do. I love the feedback!

The palette is good, I'm just bothered by the blurred edges. It looks like a Photoshop filter I can't remember the name of. It would be interesting to see the non-blurred version, if you have it.

And I enjoy your work!

The smooth edging on the shadow layers? ... hmm I think I just used standard Gaussian blurs and Sharpens. The layers are overlaid/screened with a variety of opacity and contrast levels. I use GIMP instead of Photoshop so I'm not sure of any PS filter names...?

As far as non-blurred versions? Oh man please don't ask me to go through it over again:
-3 base image scans(or more?!)
-6 texture scans
-7 discarded versions cropped at different sizes,
-3 working copies
-1 final.
-we're talking 120+ layers!!!
-my folder size is over 1.5GB
Doing the math here just freaked the hell out of me.

Thank you for officially making me insane.

Yeah, the smooth edging. It reminds me of the "cutout" effect. Or was it the "watercolour" one. Anyway.

Wow, that's a lot of stock you got there. I'll be satisfied with this one then. Whew.

I don't make people insane. I just tend to help bring out their insanity.

Hey, it looks fine for a foreshadow! Says an artist who still sucks but desperately wants to learn how to do shading.
