Yes, i've notice it... but i can't make this kind of manual zoom with a Digital CamΓ©ra

yes you can :3 ... its called a DSLR (digital SLR) [link] :3 as long as you go nikon you should never have any problems

Hum sorry i've made a mistake, it's not a great Digital camΓ©ra wich i have, but a Digital "Compact" the Panasonic - Lumix DMC-FX33 and, I dont find this settings. So I think it's not possible for that ^^
I wait to have a Reflex Nikon

oh i love my nikon :3 .. i have the D90 you can look in my gallery for soem of the pictures you can take with it ... i had a canon camera before ... just hated it ... love the nikon :3 .... if your going cheap but powerful the D5000 is a nice camera

yah its expensive XD ... but for the future its a good investment :3 ... expecally a nikon ... if you buy a nice nikon now its expandability is so grate that it can last you years :3 .... much more than cannon can say

i do this all the tome XD ... its fun to hold the zoom steady and tilt the camera :3

You may have to explain that your using an SLR with a Zoom lens which is key to the "thrust" or zoom action. Not everyone has camera of doing this.

We tried some of this years ago when I was in school using 35MM. Just about everything has to be manually set to do the zoom.

i just took it as a given XD ... i used it in this shot [link] where i held the zoom static and moved the camera 90* form 18 to 108MM and the fish tank gave a swirl effect
