I must now go and buy that game! Very nice, I like the coloring. Goes well with it's obvious life-long task.
Kinda looks like a mix between the Predalien(or however you spell the predator/xenomorph hybrid), a naga, and a praying mantis.

One of the most frightening spawns of the Zerg faction in my personal opinion. I think you pulled it off exceptionally well, especially the coloring; it really highlights what I always took their skin to be -- a kind of smooth, snake-like exterior.

Awesome work, I wonder which concept came first, the tyranids of warhammer40k or the starcraft zerg hydras, the anatomy is so similare.
someone got really inspired by the other or maybe it was the same artist.

The 'nids didn't start looking similar to this until long after Starcraft was released- When the 3rd Ed. Models were produced in something like 2000. Before that the 'nids were far more humanoid. But that's neither here nor there.
I love the Zerg, and I play 'nids in 40k, so the similarities really can't be missed. They're both awesome.
In any case, nice art. My only suggestion for it is to bring some more powerful contrast and strong light sources into it to make it stand out in the composition. You've got me fired up to do some SC/40k fan work.

Just thought you might be interested. You can submit as many different pieces of artwork as you want. And there's plenty of different categories (pencil art, photoshop, 3d graphics etc.) of competition that you can win in.
