You don't need Capitalism for people to buy things. You can be a Socialist and still have currency. Consumer goods will still be produced, etc. The only thing that happens when we have socalism is that the means of production (factories, businesses, and so on) are controlled by the working class (or the 99% if you prefer). There's no more private ownership and there are no more bosses to exploit us. If you want to identify as something, you could call yourself a Market Socialist, or a Market Communist. The idea of buying and selling is more closely linked with the market system (which is a method of distributing consumer goods) it's not the best, or even the only method. As for right wing, naziism isn't, as long as you don't look at politics as a straight line, with fascism at one end and stalinist communism at the other. That straight-line arrangement isn't generally seen as very accurate. A better view is the compass en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Politica⦠, with two axes - fascism vs anarchism on one axis, and communism vs capitalism on the other.
