It evolves into Slyveiger starting at level 16, who evolves into Pyriger starting at level 36.
Along with Plangosaur and Fliphin, it is one of three starter Pokémon players can choose from at the beginning of Pokémon Teal and Orange.

YEP Gen 6 introduced a fire cat, Granted we already had a lion *cough* Luxray *cough* and I think that
tiger are cooler then lions
