sure will be
but honestly, how can u watch a game with so many breaks? come on
every minute there is a break in american sport, its so disturbing!

K23GJ In reply to McSes [2007-08-25 23:11:14 +0000 UTC]

lol.
i see. Well concerning baseball. I can speak from a watcher and player standpoint.
The breaks in it are necessary and part of the game. If u have no idea whats going on..its absolutely intolerable to watch.
Its like chess.
Take for example..the picther is ahead in the count with 1 ball and 2 strikes, he just threw a low curve away for a strike. Now. With a speedy runner on base. You look in to you coach to see if he gives the secret steal sign. Lets say he does. And now the man on base is stealing. The pitcher is trying to strike you out. He gets the sign for the next pitch from the catcher. U have to anticaipate what pitch it might be. Lets say high 90mph fastball. The field players must be ready to adjust and know ahead of time to what to do with the ball. Also, they must cover 2nd base if the man tries to steal. The fielders must also adjust to the pitch. The anticapation is how u get most tired. Heart racing at the at bat or on the field..the pitch is delivered. 90+miles per hour..meaning you only have 0.40 or less time to react. see identify pitch location, pitch type. Set your swing time. Then swing. In 0.40 seconds. All the time knowing that your man on base is stealing, so if u swing and foul a pitch when he has a good jump..its al a waist and the defense then is alert.
I could keep going..but there soo much to put in. This is just a glance of what happens in between pitches..some average of 10 seconds.

look, i just dont see a point to make the viewer bored with so many stops
just look, all american sports have so many stops and for what?
even basketball that have alot of popularity outside of usa start to fade, the NBA become a really boreing place to watch good basketball, and alot because of the stops
in football (what u call Soccer) there is 1 stop in 90 minuts and thats the half time.
u come and u watch a game without to always see adds and i dont know...TV spots
it take the focus out of the game.
anyway, as u said, we can talk about it all day long, but...i still cant watch american sport. and i tried, but these stops every 2 minuts make me crazy!

McSes In reply to K23GJ [2007-08-28 08:12:13 +0000 UTC]

is it true that in american sport the "ouner" of the club can change cities??
like..lats say..the Chicago Bulls can be..Miami Bulls?? is that really like that????

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

K23GJ In reply to McSes [2007-08-28 17:45:29 +0000 UTC]

true.
But it takes a lot of things to happen...if the city it is in rely's on it
for major part of econ. Then it may be held from leaving.
But if it does leave...the city it was in can if it wanted to...hold the nickname and force a change.

McSes In reply to K23GJ [2007-08-28 19:33:22 +0000 UTC]

what a starge thing!
u know, in europien football...it can never happend! the fans will kill them
and beside...the team usualy is not the ouner's, its the fan's

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

K23GJ In reply to McSes [2007-08-28 19:38:55 +0000 UTC]

yeah.
lol everyone here thinks euro soccer fams are crazy
lol.
but now its getting harder and harder to change cities. They become part of a cities economy and identity.
So now, if u want a team, u must have enough money to bypass all the challenges to stay put or create a new team altogether

McSes In reply to K23GJ [2007-08-28 19:41:57 +0000 UTC]

wait, wait...why there are so few teams?
i mean, in every contry, there are hundrets of teams with alot of competicions
why a bad team from last the NBA if they are so bad, why dont they play some where ales?
u know what i mean?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

K23GJ In reply to McSes [2007-08-28 19:50:40 +0000 UTC]

u mean play out of country?
well, idk exactly why..but i know the MLB/NFL/NBA
all American created sports are considered the pinnacle place to play.
They are their own league and accept other players all over the world but dont play other teams outside the USA & Canada.
NHL as well...though that is a Canadian Sport.
MLS(soccer) plays teams outside the USA and whoever they want but still are their own league w/own championship.
I beleive each league has about 30 pro teams and its affiliats...for example the pro baseball teams have minor league teams (4 each) that have players not ready for the Major Leagues so they keep them in the minors..as a farm system. The HFL has minor leagues in Canada and Europe. NHL and MLS usually mix everything up.

McSes In reply to K23GJ [2007-08-28 19:59:49 +0000 UTC]

i mean like that
lats take the israeli football league for example.
there are hundrets of teams, now, they are all devided in too leagues
there is the top clubs that play in 1 leage, 12 teams, and so on, about 7 or 8 leagues
the 2 teams that finish 11th and 12th, go down to the 2nd leage, and the top 2 from the 2nd league are promoted to the first one. and so on to all the other leagues
thats how teams become bigger and bigger or smaller and smaller
thats how they have history of years
thats why they cant never go to a diffrent city, its stupid in my opinion.
and by the way, every team have also a youth team and a children's team and so on...
so u get so many teams with so many proffesionals and not professional football playes.
and thats just in israel, a very small contry
brasil have like 200,000 or 300,000 football players for example.
in usa how many basketball players there are?
think of the potencial that u lose...can u even think about it?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

K23GJ In reply to McSes [2007-08-28 20:19:46 +0000 UTC]

oh nono.
Imean its not like that but its similar.
There are plenty of leagues that are independent from the big club and or dependent of it.
For example. The NBA can take players from the ABA. They used to be able to take from High School(secondary school) but they banned that. They also take from colleges and other minor basketball leagues as in Europe and other places. Even the "Street ball" league!

also the NBDL (development league)
U.S. developmental leagues: ABA | CBA | D-League | EBA | IBL | PBL | United BL | USBL | Universal BL | WBA

so yes there are 100,000's of players for basketball alone

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

McSes In reply to K23GJ [2007-08-29 12:06:16 +0000 UTC]

but the clubs stay the same!
i mean, if the LA clipers for example are really really bad team, they never go to play in a less good league, right? they stay in the nba, also with the other leagues
its not just about the players, its also the teams! they never change!

and not just that, here u play also with other teams from diffrent contries in the Europien championships...nba will always stay like that, its just boreing!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

K23GJ In reply to McSes [2007-08-29 17:54:42 +0000 UTC]

yeah i c.
Imean the team stays...but its always changing players.
but i get ya!
