I think the balance is off. But that doesn't matter so much with the concept which is quite clearly conveyed.
But the most important question this brings up is; how do you keep those lights so neat? Usually they end up in a mess that then turns into a fire hazard, and then you have to fill out a bunch of insurance forms from a dirty hotel room.
Unless they're new, in which case, ignore the above.

How is the balance off? Color balance? Left/right balance?
I assume left/right balance. If I rotated the picture 90 degrees would that fix it or would the up/down balance just be off?
They were still in their package so they were in nice neat rows. I tried a version where the lights were all jumbled. I tried that with the lights off and on. I couldn't get that look to work, besides, I like a lot of order.

The rotation might help, that way it would all lead to something. Maybe. I don't exactly know what I'm talking about.
The ordering does add something to it, rarity I guess.

My mind usually jumps to the left/right orientation, it's efficient. Perhaps I shall make the next image with an up/down orientation to try something different. Remind me to give you credit
