This one took much longer to draw than it should have (so long that Toby looks like he's around two years old now, ouch!), but here's some of the main good guys from the movie The Labyrinth: Sarah, Toby, Hoggle, Ludo and Sir Didymus on his trusty doggy steed. And some helping hands.Hoggle and Sir Didymus are magnified a bit to not just have their heads show up on this picture. |>>|
Er, right, what can I say. |^^|; The Labyrinth and its crazy creatures and mysterious places surely have affected me and my story-mind a lot when I was a kid, and it's still rather inspiring these days. I bought the DVD when it came out, along with the Dark Crystal DVD. Because they just seem to belong into every collection.. that has movies like that.

This is an awesome interpretation. Sir Didymus is def. my favorite here, but they are all great. Love Ambrosius too (or however his dogs name is spelled!)...Unique, love it.

I love this, and not just because the Labyrinth is my all-time favorite movie....I'm VERY impressed by your stylization of the characters.
whenever I see a piece of artwork that really amazes me, I search myself to find any criticisms that I can...I do believe Hoggle's head looks a *little* bit small for the rest of his body...also, I love how the helping hands have been incorporated, but it almost begs to have some extension of your heavy black outlines go out into the background--nothing that would interfere too much with the main focus, of course...just a thought.
other than that (heh) I think this is great!

Excellent job. You even remembered the "Helping Hands". Nice detail on all of it. I'm faving this. Labyrinth is a cult classic now. My houseguest Becky (my biggest Chamilin fan--go to my gallery and check 'em out!) watched this FIVE TIMES in one day. And I did too. You catch little things. Loved the fairies.

No problem. Making a good likeness has also much to do with having and studying good reference photos.
As for now I wouldn't change the picture, it looks good as it is. It's a cartoon after all.
