also have you tried using oil pastels? i see you have this scratchy effect going on that i think you could explore more with oil pastels

Yeah i used oil pastels in my very early works, see the black and white ones on the first page of my gallery.
True, this piece has some scratchiness, but it can be avoided, as seen on my recent works i think. Also this brings a nice texture if done right.

I love the overall piece, but for some reason, the little house by the tree catches my attention.
