I think that the mantle's approach wins, because it boast more weapons than death star and also it is more bigger, then considering also that the mantle's approach have powerful energy shields that allow it shrug off easily SUPER MAC projectiles, it could even simply ram the death star and destroy it easily.
Even if one argue that the death star's ray is capable of destroy the mantle's approach, also you must count that the mantle's approach is considered one of the fastest ships to forerunner military standards, making very hard to the death star use its ray against the mantle's approach, while the forerunner ship is capable of wipe out the imperial crew with its weapons, especially with the composer

At first I thought this was a dumb idea but then I thought "SPACE BATTLE!!!" Have fighters and space ships fighting and then the space station unleashing their massive weapons of destruction for the final round. I like it.

The Mantle's Approach would win. Have you seen a picture with them that's to scale? Mantle's Approach dwarfs the Death Star, it's pretty big.

The Mantle's Approach is nearly as wide as the Death Star and more than twice as tall. I'd say that's a whole lot.
