Description
I was digging through my storage files for something for Dillion, when I found this one in psd format. I hope folks remember this moment. It's from "Nova Trek: A Tale of Two Captains". Up till that time, this was the largest file with the most characters I'd ever rendered at one time.Β As for Dillion, I have one more single character to make up, then some groups before moving on to outfits, sets and props.
For those isolated folks who might have missed this story, it's located here:
Yeah, the big 3-parter.

You know, I've watched Star Trek the Animated Series. That bridge defense weapon made sense, but also had a lot of risk as shown when it was taken over. Though, there were also those personal force field belts that also acted as environmental suits... I wonder how Star Trek would have changed if the Animated Series was accepted as canon.

Actually,Β some fans do accept it. But you're right, it's not official- even though it does have the earliest known Starfleet Holodeck. I personally count it- it's the last two years of the mission as far as I'm concerned. As for the personal force field, I see it as a line of technology that Starfleet didn't follow through on. Like Transwarp drive, somewhere along the line, it didn't measure up.

I suppose so, though with how useful it had been during the episode, that's kinda sad. Maybe it was considered too complex? They had used them in place of environmental suits, so...

I think it's still one of my best.
