Yes. Ms. Whitney died around the same time Mr. Nimoy did.

It shook everyone. You might be intrested in this. A group I was part of put it together:
It's a fan-produced magazine in his honor.

I met her several times at conventions that our Trek Club ran in Houston. The nicest and kindest person you could ever wish to talk with. The universe is a little dimmer with her passing. And a fitting tribute! Kudos!!

Great tribute image. I met her once and was able to obtain her autograph, she was very nice and she showed me some personal pictures she had taken back when she was on the original series.

I wish I'd had the honor. Got to meet some of the Next Gen cast. but never had the chance of meeting any of the TOS cast- except Walter Koeing. I meet him at an autograph signing. He and Marina Sirtis were making the rounds drumming up interest in the Next Generation just before the series started. It was so early, that Ms. Sirtis didn't have any photos of her as Deanna- all she had were B&Ws of her as herself. Then I met her again some years later at a convention and got her autograph on a US Today ad- full page- for First Contact.

I got to see Ms. Sirtis and Michael Dorn last year, as well as Shatner, Brint Spiner, and Levar Burton, but they were only speaking on stage. I have gotten autographs from a few, Walter Koeing and George Takei are two I have never gotten to see, but wish I had.
The only ones I had time to chat with, and I was lucky when I did, was Grace Lee Whitney, James Doohan, and Majel Barrett-Rodenberry.
It started with Majel Barrett-Rodenberry we were in line to get an autograph and my wife, being as she, is looked at Majel's sweater and said "Oh I like that sweater" she and my wife began a conversation and my wife said "I guess we better go on" and Majel said "Oh don't worry they will be fine" (all those waiting in line for an autograph) and begain asking us questions about who we were and such. She was so gracious. Grace Lee Whitney was down on the next table so when we got to her she started chatting away and showed us some photos she had in her purse from various movies and plays she had done. If you knew my wife you would unders stand she never met a stranger. It slowed down everyone behind us, sorry everyone,
but we had a nice conversation with both of them that day.

Very nice work on this one, Madison.
I'm sure it's how a lot of us still remember her
