Love the Rihannsu ship you have in this set of pictures, but I'm having a tad of difficulty figuring out what's been written of their lines. Maybe that's just me, though.

Not you. The image is so large, you'll have to download it to read the dialogue. Sorry about that. It's taken directly from the actual story.

the render of the star (the Earth?) is outstanding.I appreciate the 'glooming effect' : that looks like real.
about the pannels: it's (almost) perfect. why did not you frame them (big line)?

First of all the pages were screen caps- the orignal artwork was lost some time ago when my first external drive die. The planet's not Earth- it's Romulus. The green frame was just to pull the 3 pages together into one piece. same reason I frame the WIP pics I post. I think if you try the story, You'll like it.

Thought I did. "The green frame was just to pull the 3 pages together into one piece. same reason I frame the WIP pics I post."
I use a black "Frame" or background in my graphic novels to help the panels stand out.

you said you used a black 'frame' in your graphic novel but I didn't see that in you (final ?) work : the pdf file

The black background behind the panels. each page is black with the panels laid on top.

aaaaaaaaaah! I talk about ALL the frames.

No. If you're not talking about the black background behind the panels, then I don't understand.

ok. a good example is better than 1,000 words
look at this page (3D comics, it's not mine): a href="www.thedreamlandchronicles.com… ">Dreamland Chronicles
notice this:
1. the background is white (why not?
2. the frame of the image ARE black : the line are black, the 'square' are black!
do you finally get it?
look at a 2 D comics, the frames are all black (or white if background is black)

I just like the look of a black background. It's become standard for the series. The only time I've altered this is in Book Three, "Guardian's Child". In that story I used a grey background for part of the story- but there was a definite reason for that.
I understand now what you mean by 'Frame". I don't use any- the renders are as they come out of Poser. Some times I will apply a blue frame around a space picture if I think the picture needs to stand out more. Otherwise, I don't see the need.

'3 pages together': if I well understand, you used 3 layers about a postwork (Adobe Photoshop...) interesting.
I know there is a plugin for Poser (or Vue , I am not rember) but it's not perfect (I saw a art in Renderosity). I prefer YOUR way: easy and fast. bravo!

I hope so

I use Photoshop Elements Ten to assemble things. For my graphic novels, I use no m ore than 6 remders per page- anything more starts looking crowded. Those renders are then taken into Photoshop and positioned on the page and the dialogue is added there.

Photoshop Elements Ten is a smaller program - smaller version-than the full Photoshop. Just like there are about 5 different versions of Vue- each more involved than the one before.
