Look what finally came sometime ago! Daisy is kinda pissed about it.Until a recent restocking, this amiibo was damn hard to find. With 's help, I was able to get it before it sold out again. That meant moving just a little bit faster than everyone else.
I'll be doing a commission for real soon, and as for the rest of you guys who I owe drawings to, I'm still (slowly) workin' on them

Amiibos are the worst thing that happened to Nintendo.
The idea isn't bad, but the logistics behind its distribution is so bad, it makes me wretch.

Amiibo's are so useless too, its just physical dlc or a statue for most people. I believe nintendo is doing distribution like this on purpose making them rare for novelty value but in the one way the only way the prime way. They are shafting their customers, if you don't find one of these 12 dollar figures you can't live without be ready to write a check to some no life scalper who is selling this piece of plastic for 40+ dollars. Its really just an F you to any loyal customers in my opinion.

By the way, the best thing to do is report these people to the authorities. I'm fairly certain since this is a brand product, only distributors that have permission from Nintendo can sell them. If you report these people, you never know. Something might happen. You could also have people write a petition to make it illegal to resell them, since Nintendo won't increase the amount of them that is produced. I mean, that's what laws are for. If someone is doing something that people generally consider a dick move, then you write a law to stop that from happening. If the people aren't a part of the US, US just boycotts all Nintendo products until Nintendo handles the problem themselves.
Like the Boston Tea Party, only with Amiibos, and not over taxes.
Still a relevant comparison, considering how corporate run our world is. Not a good direction to go in, by the way. Just look at what happens in Borderlands. Let corporations run shit, and then an entire planet runs savage.

No one would boycott, no one would do anything people like being taken advantage of. It's like a fetish. Half the people with amiibos didn't pay retail for it because they couldn't which. When jigglypuff was being released it they had the preorder for sale on eBay and various sites and non were pulled or anything and the prices went upward from 12 to like the hundreds. If people stopped buying them they would either release more or stop releasing them. They release them in ways that suggest they are only for people who don't have jobs.

There are plenty of people that would sign a petition to get this to stop. More than enough to force action, trust me. And it wouldn't be a boycott on a civilian level, it would be federal.
Yes, the United States federal government can say that individual corporation are not allowed to do trade with or in America. I can think of a certain jewelry company that isn't allowed to because of how they artificially inflate the price of diamonds.

That would only raise the value of the item, people would import them like those anime statues with the soft breast. I would hope people would help end this shady practice literally if you try to pre order one you get beat and they are doing store exclusive amiibos making them even harder to obtain. I just want 3 or 4 at retail value but nope. Lol

I've been wanting to get Rosalina since I first heard of these, but missed out the first time.
I don't think I'm going for all of them, just ones I want to use in Smash Bros.

I've got nine currently. I think I'll only buy ones that:
-I can use in a game such as Fire Emblem Fates or Yoshi's Woolly World
-represent a character that I'm very fond of
-are incredibly cheap at garage sales
-are related to the Kirby series
It's a darn shame that amiibo are always released on Friday mornings. I greatly enjoy standing in line outside a store with other fans, but I can only do that during the summer. They need to switch it to Saturdays.
