I think my image "Bandleader" is one of my best pieces to date and it's gone completely unnoticed.

It doesn't exhibit the standard fractal qualities of UF but presents a more abstract "mixed media quality".
I love my result.
Maybe I'm offbase.

I think this one is very attractive because it has symmetry, warm colours and the shapes are very clear.
"Bandleader" has a kind of metallic, cool look. I like it very much, but I would also prefer "Brambles".

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I have over 2,000 images on dA and got my only DD in April this year. I have hundreds of images I thought were wonderful, ones I was really satisfied with that have had absolutely no response from anyone.
I am only too glad to be able to put my work somewhere people can look at it if they wish. What I am trying to say is that many of us can easily get to thinking we are great artists really quickly. I was a professional artist, painting in oils. I made a living doing stuff that others wanted me to do. Now I do what I want to do and don't really care if it goes unnoticed...
I far prefer Brambles to Bandleader. The latter has a really over exposed look on the left side... Hope you don't mind me saying. Brambles is a well balanced and well presented image that catches the eye as being different, interesting and makes one want to look closer. It is deserving of the DD. Blue can be a bit of an eye hazard when it is combined with white...Whereas the mellow greens, golds and all the other different shades you have subtly blended into Brambles is much more appealing.

Enjoy having the DD. Hope you gte many, many more.

Of course your comments are important to me and bring my thinking to a more grounded level. We all as artists can get hung up on what we've done and lose focus of the bigger picture in which we fit.
