Maya's toon rendering features are kind of limiting but I was able to achieve this without any post processing outside Maya. I've struggled with Lightwave, the actual 3D software used in making the Invader Zim cartoon. But I never found it as intuitive to me as Maya.

The sizes are a little messed up though. The Massive is like a HUGE mothership really. Comparable in size to a small planetoid. The Viral Tank would be only about one 8th the size it is here. And the Voot Runner wouldn't even be visible on this scale.
