Description So, I've decided to flood dA's servers with a bunch of my older (read β€œClassic”) stuff that's been languishing largely unseen, forgotten and forlorn, in my GIMP User Group gallery . I've had a link in my journal for some time, but I seriously doubt that anyone ever goes there, so I thought that if any of this work is ever to be seen again a prudent course of action might be to gather all my eggs in one basket. I'm putting them into scraps because, while I considered these pieces to be finished art when I posted them a few years back and I still do, most of them, as they stand on their own, aren't quite up to my current standards. They do, however, have potential for use as parts of other pieces, possibly as illustrations for writing, or whatever. This is kind of a stock thing: if any of you want to use this magnificent artwork for your own purposes, duplicate it as needed, alter it, do with it as you will, I'm offering so please feel free. Just follow the standard code of conduct: keep me in the loop, credit me, and link to the original, preferably in full view.

Made with The GIMP (with a little help here and there from some other choice apps) under Linux

wow, am i really the first comment on this? and you posted it in what, april? jesus.
perhaps it's because i'm one of few people who want to see scraps in my deviation inbox, i dunno.
ANYWAYS
when i first looked at it, i saw kind of a volcano with a sun... but now that i look at it again it looks like some odd little creature opening its cloak to reveal it's inner core or something...

Yeah, I doesn't surprise me that this and the other oldies I put here didn't generate many comments because, as you say, not many people look at my scraps.

I like your take on this, it's a great description. The β€œDynamo” series was always a favorite of mine, and I'll probably use the brass/gold belly thing (haha!!! You describe my work better than I do! ) in some future work.

i'm guessing not many people look at scraps in general :: shrug:: anyways, this series has been fun to look at, so i'm sure it was fun to do and thus probably why it was a favorite of yours ; ) am looking forward to seeing the golden orb in a future piece so i can say "hahaha you fools, i know the origin of the mystic golden orb!" to everyone who didn't look at it : D

I think you're right about that. I like to see people's scraps because sometimes there are hidden gems in there, and I don't want to miss out. As a matter of fact, I just discovered that your scrap gallery was unchecked, but that has now been rectified.

lol well, thank you.. i have EVERYONE.. or like, everyone except 3 people ... checked for scraps.. i mean, i can't tell the difference half the time since it's not like, separated from the regular deviations in the inbox.
