I think the hint of red is a nice touch to bring the conceptual idea further to the viewer's attention. Also I think it's important to utilize visual techniques to make an object realistic. The reflections and shadows couldn't have been better. I keep wondering if this was fully made from scratch or with the help of stock imagery.
